My prediction is that the director is eccentric-but-reasonable and presents a genuine need for practical, methodical, and organized people at Cubetown, along with some concrete examples of what Cubetown has accomplished/is trying to accomplish. Creates dramatic tension where the clown-show upstairs is balanced against the opportunity to do real good.
that is...yes. the whole enterprise functioning as a kind of angler-lure for someone who is absolutely opposed to informational disorder. hoping that just the right individual will respond and be drawn into the CUBE.
I've noticed that Claire tends to bottle her feelings up. Seeing her openly angry right now is, I think, a first. (I'll accept corrections gracefully. ;) )
Unless you count when she went off at Marten during their orientation because he wasn't showing them how to do library stuff xD I think that's the most similar scenario we've seen to this one (Claire in a situation where she's increasingly frustrated, which eventually boils over)
Then the next two pages keep the focus on Marten's conversation/wait, and when Claire emerges she looks slightly dazed and is ALL PRO-CUBETOWN!
