Bonus Comic: Melon Vs. The Volcano 2
VOLCANO REVENGE

Melon is almost ready to help Momo make rice.
Well, at least Melon knows how to make it go "THOOM!!!"
I like Arthur's expression of dismay
This strip also answers the question from a while ago regarding where Melon lives in relation to Roko's apartment. Now I have this suspicion that they met when Roko had to come upstairs because of another one of Melon's "projects". Or maybe because Arthur was cooking dinner.
Corrosive is just spicy for robots
I do wonder what kind of "BAKIN' SODA" she is using there to get such extreme volcanic reactions that would eat a hole through her floor into Roko's apartment below.
Why is the volcano talking?
Rocko lives downstairs, and the lava melted thru his ceiling and now there is a hole so she can Give a " Socially appropriate greeting"
Pretty sure lava has most of the same letters as love.
I was going to ask why Melon created a simulated volcano in Roko's apartment when I suddenly realised: "She's Melon! Why WOULDN'T she do it in someone else's apartment?"
I thought, given that Melon is looking down, that she blew a hole in her floor and Roko's ceiling in the apartment below.
"Socially appropriate greeting" sound be the new "hello". :)
According to an old Swedish commercial, the socially appropriate greeting for blowing a whole in someone's ceiling is to invite them for a cup of coffee. ("When you get unexpected guests")
I am super tempted to get a tattoo of Melon's face from the second panel. It's just too cute!!
How did... how did she melt the floor with the volcano standing on the table?
The lava has come up from below, obviously.
I can't even imagine the security deposit one would need to have to even consider renting to Melon.
my headcanon: She owns the building. Some months she even remembers to collect rent.
Was there a Melon vs. the Volcano 1, or am i just not getting the joke?
yes: https://www.patreon.com/posts/melon-vs-volcano-21663408
I have so many questions. Mostly about what kind of insurance company would accept Melon?
You're assuming Melon has insurance? I'm sure the building owner has insurance. I suspect that they also make Melon pay for repairs.
Roko's going to need to dunk her head in that hair vat now.
Hope the pink batch is still fresh. She would look great as punk
Now I wanna know the situation melon would say "socially inappropriate greeting"
I don't think she knows the meaning of "inappropriate", so I doubt she would ever say it. Someone (probably Roko) likely told her long ago that she needed to use a socially appropriate greeting, and she took it literally.
Totally a fart font
I really want to know what Melon put in that volcano.
It was likely thermite, which is easier to make than people think.
Oh no
Thermite doesn’t explode, it burns. Unless Melon put a block of ice inside the volcano. That would make burning thermite explode. Has Melon watched Mythbusters? Listen to Adam and Jamie, Melon. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.
And thermite burns white, not red. Although I suppose if the balance of metals were wrong, or if the volcano is made of metal, it could leave molten slag running down the sides like that.
My husband once set part of his house on fire with his circa 8th grade papier mache volcano that he did for a science fair at school...
Whom, exactly, was the volcano getting revenge on?
Evidently Melon forgot she put her thermite in a baking soda box...
More likely, Melon _remembered_ that she put thermite in a baking soda box...
Hahaha
The hell did she put in there? Thermite?!
what is the socially appropriate greeting in this situation?
"Socially appropriate greeting!" is always appropriate.
Looks like Roko may need to get a new job sooner than she thought she would.
She might go into construction. I hear there's a local landlord with a hole that needs fixing
i guess I'm just gonna have to ask you, then, having lost two polls! Jeph! how was yoga?
SWEATY
Melon don't give a duck 'bout your silly fleshy human chemistry.
That's Roko. She doesn't have fleshy human chemistry.
I'm not even mad, I just want to know how she made thermite from baking soda and vinegar!
Thooom
