So, is this ship the Hahnalore?
Now kiss.
Yes. Yes she is <3
I read a dictionary over a period of 3 months, Merriam-Webster if I recall correctly.
They are a great follow on Facebook. One of my favorite pages to follow.
I love Hanners doing sick burns, she's learned from the best (her entire friend group) but she also saves them for when they're warranted xD She could inflict more of them but chooses not to
PLEASE give Hanners a bare chested sweaty soothing covered firefighter who saves her in a fire and carries her out in his arms.
She wouldn't like the sweaty part though. How about we compromise with a firefighter AI? All the muscles and bravery, but with the added bonus of convenient wipe-down surfaces.

In high school, not permitted to go out after dinner to hang with my boyfriend, we would sit on the telephone for hours and do the crossword puzzle together. When we got to that point, I would totally be scanning the dictionary for the appropriate letter and the appropriate place, looking for anything that fit. Why yes, being on the telephone for hours was annoying to my mother, who was restricting my movements. Why do you ask?
If I were to read a dictionary, ”quit” would be the first word I looked up, then follow it promptly by not reading anymore.
Jeph, I'm really anhjoying this arc. Thanhk you.
They are both the misery that loves each other's company. I've seen friendships built on a lot less.
Totally not flirting, but I think it’s the first true crush and it’s happening beyond their control. It seems healthy enough.
...or greener tree next door? I'm assuming that Station keeps an orbit within visual range of Cupressaceae.
...or does station eventually become a Praeses?!
To be completely fair to Anh, who has read a dictionary
The Poor Eyesight leading the Blind...
Probably shouldn't have said that last bit out loud.
Meanwhile, it’s the Harvest Moon and Willow just howled at the moon. Brun is calling the owner to see if she has grounds for firing Willow or at least put a leash on Willow.
Hanners, by comparison, as likely read at least 4 dictionaries cover to cover.
Hey, could someone tell me what Jeph has against long haired girls? He keeps introducing them and then chopping their hair off shortly afterwards. :p
It's a life-long comic thing
Its okay to have a crush on Hanners. You just have to admit to yourself that it is never going anywhere.
I first read that as 'stick burn', and it 100% still fit and meant exactly what it should in this panel
Same!
Never read a dictionary, or a room
… dAnhmn
Ahn, all of us have been trying our hardest not to have a crush on Hanners
*Anh, friend. Her name is Anh, with an H at the end.
Who sits down and reads a whole dictionary, though?
Someone who wants to know who committed the crime...
how meta can a meta joke get if a meta joke can get meta?
I never meta joke I didn't like.
And then Station put a cyborg implant in her brain and everything was fine, the end. https://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2134
At that time, Jeph wrote he would be first in line if ever we got that tech. But now we DO have that tech. Ol' Elon Muskrat likes to tout the neuralink. But I'm thinking Jeph is not wanting to try _that_ stuff out. (just a feelin')
Anh is such a beautiful disaster.
I'm currently studying Vietnamese in Duolingo and I just realized that Anh's name could mean: (英) "outstanding, talented, heroic" (瑛) "crystal, gem-like luster" (映) "to reflect, to shine" It depends on which Sino-Vietnamese character her dad chose. Speaking of which, what ever happened to Anh's mom? I don't think she was ever mentioned in this comic, except in passing. https://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5434 https://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5787
This two together remind me of those old chemistry sets we had as children (showing my age here) where you totally ignored the nicely-written safe experiments booklet in favor of randomly mixing stuff together with equal chances of it doing nothing interesting or exploding in your face.
Alfred Carlton "AC" Gilbert, nerd saint.
and I’m trying not to ship Anhelore, but we can’t always get what we want, Anh
But if you try sometimes you can get what you need, apparently.
Anhdearing, meanwhile, is in progress
"Very anhdearing"
She'd better be to make up for getting The Hannelore Stare twice in about two minutes of conversation. And, yes, it does have a name now.
The struggle is real... 😂
Those are the best friendships.
