they'll put some drywall up eventually

In a shocking twist, they go to see the Director and Liz gets absorbed!
Drywall? Over the megaliths?
So, um... is Moray squishy like Jell-o, or like a water balloon. For some reason I only now am curious... Hmmm.
She can apparently spring leaks when overexcited, and has been described as "a sentient waterbed with boundary issues", so I guess water balloon.
Exactly how effective are hand cuffs on Liz?
Apparently Robots Being Scared Of Life Changes is our QC theme this season :)
And to think that some people* believed the comic would become less relatable with all the robots in it! *I mean, I assume. There must have been someone
I wonder what Evan is reading. Is it Magical Love Gentleman?
Confessions of the Sinner. She doesn't like real guns but she likes sci-fi military fiction.
I'm back!
Yelling Bird 2: Back to the Comments
Predication- the Director is already purple and thus no help even with reabsorption.
IIRC Roko's heavily armored core processor survived the Crushbot Event so she's unquestionably classic Roko software running on new Roko hardware. Now Moray and Evan are anxious about not being themselves if rebooted into their existing hardware (or gloopware in Moray's case). Hmmm...cells have internal structures so Moray's innards must be kinda sorta somehow similar. Could she ever tell the difference? Evan's case is the kinda sorta somehow opposite. I still want to see her and Roko meet, and Bubbles should probably be included as well. An emotionally damaged military vet, an emotionally damaged ex cop, and a sooner or later will be emotionally damaged if she stays in that job security chief - they already have a community of interest.
The Director is certainly the right person to ask, but Moray doesn't need to go through with their suggested fix if it has unwanted consequences. Assuming not fixing it doesn't also have unwanted consequences, at which point they can discuss the pros and cons.
We are worried about the chlorophyll cycle being disrupted
The Great Oxygen Catastrophe: The Revenge.
The better question is why Evan’s office is Cubetown’s experimental holodeck?
All of Cubetown's decks are hollow, that's how they float. *Claireface*
That vest must employ pocket dimension technology.
It does seem to have a lot of pockets.
The purple color is a design feature of the Morays. She's the only one who has stayed separated long enough for the process to start. Why is Evan having nightmares about being reabsorbed by the Director and being spat out as a different person? She was never part of the Director ... was she?
She finds the Director to be creepy.
Liz has my support!!
Moray is of two minds about this. I didn't know she had a worry co-processor.
She has a whole deely-bobber dedicated to anxiety.
It’s a legitimate fear. Humans still haven’t worked it out, and we don’t even really have to worry about it.
"Liz helping out" feels simultaneously suspicious and auspicious.
She's just hoping she'll get to smash more stuff with a wrench.
Director made her turn purple via her settings menu just so she'd bring Liz to her, because the Director foresaw the entire chain of events that would transpire -- Woom machine happening, Moray just happening to walk in right afterwards with new hair, Liz just happening to be at the coffee shop at the time, Marty saying he can't go but someone has to, Liz offhandedly points out that her artificial arms are "her arms" setting her up for having insight to Moray's fears of body/self continuity, Liz helping the Woom machine people get their friend out of the box, Liz following her to the Director, Liz and Moray have the discussion about her fears of being "physically rebooted," Evan confirms Moray's fears so Liz feels obligated to hold Moray's hand as she goes down to the visit her mom. Blammo, Liz is brought to the Director in person. Just as planned. The only thing she didn't predict is Liz not liking Star Trek, so she's getting sent home with a box full of BluRays for her trouble as homework.
The Director received a distress signal and carefully arranged this entire series of events in order to free Phoebe from the Woom device. It seemed easier than sending an email.
I wonder where Evans busticles go when she puts on body armor. Is there another dimension they hang out in, or do they just go 2D?
Memory foam. They take several hours to fully decompress after she takes the vest off.
I know Moray’s gonna be okay, but I’m still worried about her.
I just read through the arc where Claire first meets the director. I couldn't think of a pun about it, sad to say. No squidding.
Perhaps the colour change is just a side effect of Moray remaining separate from the Director for so long. "Hmm, you've turned purple, this was sooner than I expected."
Momray added a patch to Mooby's last squishware update so she turns purple if she doesn't come visit often enough. https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5808
It’s going to get pretty awkward if they go in and find the director is now purple and has no idea how it happened either. 🫣
"I...WAS HOPING...YOU KNEW."
Liz, "protective custody" doesn't guarantee Moray has to leave the jail, so it might not provide you with relief from all this. ...uh, so people tell me.
does the director have consent rules with it's autonomous extremities?
The safeword is "ControlAltDelete!"
Computer, reset color palette to default.
Moray immediately returns to the color originally used in the Director's earliest prototypes. Neon orange.
I'm sure Kent has a sale on drywall. Just scoot over!
Come to think of it, the Director might prefer using wetwall.
Liz is just grumpy because the sound of the room reminds her of Star Trek. https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=4942
That door sound is quite distinctive
When you're keeping your hue Because Evan's scared too That's A Moray!
When you share Evan's fears It'll all end in tears That's A Moray
They don't need to put up drywall, the rooms looks fine as-is, though perhaps a bit disturbingly reminiscent of the interior of the boxes in the movie Primer.
What they need are some Aperture Science Panels(tm)! They're wonderful versatile!
Liz wants Evan to arrest her, tie her up, etc.
The Master to Evan's Blaster
They do make excellent points!
Not when she's wearing body armour
SCOOT
Evan taps back dash.
SCOOT 💨
Evan scoots through the desk behind her.
Hi, Evan!
