I relate to Liz in the last panel a little too much. I was going to sulk all weekend but now I have to be productive and Get Things Done? UGH. It's somehow even more annoying when the thing you need to do is actually pleasant, like going out with a friend. You know you'll feel better afterwards but you still REALLY don't want to go.
I think we have all been dragged into having fun. Some of us more than once. It's what friends do. And we do for friends.

I feel ya, Liz. When I was struggling with depression and self-depreciation, I too was annoyed at times when I had to put the self-loathing on hold to aid someone else who was struggling.
Quite often we will do for others that which we won't do for ourselves.
