Contrary to popular belief, it *is* easy being green.
I would have been disappointed if one of our number hadn't done this.
Was it intentional to have Moray standing in front of the Big Small on the sign when she shrunk from Big to Small? It fits so well!
I'm a little terrified. A natural fix to an issue for a Morray would be to reintegrate with the director. Even if that were to be done for a temporary fix, what would it do to the self? To have your memories, feelings mixed and integrated with a whole mega-consciousness and come back? Even if it works 100% no issues, the existential questions that would follow. Am I still Morray X-21? This is cosmic...
Note: I can suddenly only view questionablecontent.net by running a VPN set to USA. It seems that the site is no longer considered suitable for Britons.
Odd, its working fine for me while VPNed to London.
No! Go back to the new look, it was so much better!
Has anyone else gone to the NYT Connections game today (Friday 9/4)? It seems awfully familiar. https://www.nytimes.com/games/connections
Aww... I loved the new hair. (Also like the new color.)
Is anybody else getting "403 Forbidden" on every attempt to see anything on questionablecontent.net?
if you like being green & purple ain't your scene you might be Moray
but, it's not easy being green ...
She jokes .. but legit, one time when I was working at the coffee shop, one of our regulars (a lovely elderly gentleman) asked if I'd colored my hair or something. No, I had just forgotten to wear my glasses that day. 🫶
Groucho-nose-and-glasses always worked for me.
And just like that, in panel 5 Moray is back to looking like she always did. (I'm not very observant)
She fell in a barrel of shh- grape juice.
So, its easy, being green?
Soon, Liz publishes a paper in the Canadian Journal of Gwoop Theory.
If purple to green is unreachable dream you're a Moray ...
Something about Whoopi Goldberg and The Colour Purple. (I'm working on it)
Does her ability to do math get fragmented when she does her hair that way?
Liz is becoming more socialised. Instead of plain rudeness, she’s mastering not-very-subtle snarkiness. Sometimes. Now, what are the odds that Moray will be wearing a funny hat in the next strip?
Gwoop-boop a gwoop!
I did not have "Moray has to admit she needs help with something" on my character arc bingo card, but I'm here for it!
The hair-tentacles and colour change remind me of Shiala from Mass Effect, though different colour change.
Blueberry next.
Cranky blueberry, or the regular kind? https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5317
We suddenly notice everyone has a tail before the next WOOM sets everything right and they only notice Moray being the right color again.
That is a funny deflection, Liz! Good job little gremlin.
I think she secretly loves funny hats.
It has the perfect colour for a Somebody Else’s Problem Field. Nobody will notice 😄
Just a thought, does her photosynthesis even properly work with this new color?
I'm no scienceologist, but a lot of plants are purple and they seem happy enough. So... maybe?
Moray’s config is one giant INI file, with no thread-safe way to access it.
🎵 It‘s not easy (not) being green 🐸 🎶
I'm worried if the Great Woon could change "things", beyond Moray's colors...
Plot twist: the WOOM didn't even cause the color change. She just mistook a packet of grape kool aid mix for her morning phytoplankton supplement.
She's going to have the funniest hat next strip.
https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2189 "YESSS THE HAAAATS"
Can she still do maths with the new “hair” style?
There is an important question!
Maybe she can find a way to dye her protoplasm.
Oh! Maybe she can wear glasses! It works for Clark Kent…
I dig the new look, tbh.
Gwoop!
I fully expected the swallow suggestion to be followed by Moray picking a piece of herself off and swallowing it.
Funny hats solve most problems.
Yeeeessssss.
At least she hasn't gone plaid.
That's what happened to poor Moray-4. She went to ludicrous speed and was never seen again.
I would be concerned that the Director might just want to reabsorb her...
Pretty sure if he wanted that, it would have happened already. Yay Newfriend's equal, we're talking about.
The new color is so embarrassing, she could just dye.
Aww, I liked he new...hair...goo....goop? style it was cute!
Goo-do.
I mean, I didn't notice the color change. But I have color vision deficiency.
Hopefully people won't throw too much shade at Moray.
She'd be okay if they threw her original shade at her.
CubeTown is gonna raise a hue and a cry when they notice.
A *HUE* and a cry, you say. I see what you did there.
At least purple people eater isn't an option for the most temperamentally unfit gloop
Also, two eyes and no horn
Next week: Moray asks for Emily's help fixing the purple bug. In the process of doing so she gives Moray new menus that allow her to color change at will. Also the ability to hover, extrude her own mini-Morays, and see fifteen seconds into the future. The Director is impressed and decides to promote Emily to her dream job as Cubetown's resident Moray technician. https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5810
There was a comic where you could poke Momo 2.0 and have her hair change color. And the same thing with someone else, I think.
Wait Moray was supposed to be green? I thought she was blue!
Yeah, but it isn't easy being green...
GWOOP
I think the new hair matches the purple better, but it's not my body, not my choice
Well, I think this all started with Moray trying out a new hairstyle? Headstyle? Then the Woom happened.
The idea of an AI not having a menu system is very funny to me bc that's something I as a human get very frustrated about too. Oh Moray, we are more alike than you may know
But are you approved for oral use?
When you aren't feeling keen Not being aquamarine That's A Moray!
When your pigment has changed And folks look at you strange That's A Moray
Purple suits her
The director will probably know if this was caused by VOOM
Yes, Moray. That's how [ mental | physical ] problems work. Just like that. (/s)
I'd tell her to RTFM, except there probably isn't one.
There would have been, but the Director forgot to order printer paper. The jelly doesn't fall far from the jellyfish. https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=4954
I like her hair both ways. I also like the purple, but if it distresses her, I hope she finds a way to fix it
Next week: In an alternative universe, Steve is an AI unit who has to deal his eccentric owner, Melon who prefers those orange raspberries that Aimee France highlighted on her “Igotothegrocerystore” instagram feed the other day.
Is Moray so experimental that her color settings are in ROMs soldered to the board?
Moray is so experimental that she doesn't have solder, ROMs, or boards. Or settings.
Bwahaha, my settings menu comment from two pages back might have gotten picked up on as a funny idea! :) (Probably not, but let a fan dream.) Also I'm torn, cause I do like the new hair, but, the old hair is cute too.
When you have no menus So you don’t know what to choose — that’s a Moray!
When purple's your hue And it's making you blue -- that's a Moray!
That's better. I really prefer the deely-bobbers. So expressive of her character.
They do feel more natural on her. Probably because they are the same shape as the rest of her. In many ways, she is just one big deely-bobber.
it's nice that Marten wrote all of the options out. good to be specific
He seems to have missed Hot Chocolate. Or is that still in the experimental phase?
Anxiety cancels out Moray's grapes of wrath
I like the tentacular hair better than the woob woob unit
poor moray must be feeling.... bluer than normal
And, conversely, LESS blue. Which makes her blue. Bluer than blue. The bluest she's ever been!
Purple is in this year.
