Chapter 2 on Steam and other stuff
Hey!
It's been a while. Since I just published the new chapter on Steam, I thought I'd give a shout here as well. I also wanna give some updates.
I've been working on the Steam stuff, but I've also been writing. I think I'm about a quarter of the way done with Selena's POV. I've decided to pause the billing on Patreon for another month because I have a bunch of stuff I need to do at work still, but I intend to get back into active development after working hours in about 10 days.
Blender's really nice in many ways, but it's way slower right now so I'm considering doing some hybrid work until I can get faster at it. That'd mean doing the more important scenes in blender to make them look as cool as possible, while keeping the less important scenes in Daz for speed.
So, yeah, that's the update. If you get the DLC on Steam, drop a review or something. That helps. Thanks!

how different are the renders between your blender and daz efforts? if the quality and looks will be constantly inconsistent then idk if it's a good solution.
They have a bit of a different feel. It would be noticeable if I used them both in the same scene, but if it's different scenes, it won't be noticeable unless you're looking for it. Like the hair doesn't look as good in blender in some lighting circumstances, while the light reflection is better in the eyes. Stuff like that.
I didn't realise that bringing it to Steam would require more work. It's as if you have to create a port after releasing it here on Patreon. I recommend adding the DLC to the main Chapter 1 page. There is always a list of available DLCs for the main games, which you can view in other games pages. This will make it more visible and, in turn, boost sales 😉. Your renders already looked excellent to me in DAZ, so they must look incredible in Blender!
It's not a lot more work, it's just poorly explained and hard for me to understand. I think it's supposed to be done by a more technical minded person. It took longer because of the limitations of my incompetence
