I have no idea how to title this
Hello!
I come today with news. I'm not sure if it's good news or bad news, but it's something I have to talk about. I haven't been able to make much headway with the project. I have some writing done, I started doing some renders, but it's very slow. Partly, that's because I moved to blender, partly it's because my new workplace takes everything out of me. It's pretty rare that I have the mental energy to work on the game.
Because of that, I feel bad about accepting financial support, so I've decided to pause the billing on Patreon.
This doesn't mean I'll stop working on the game. In fact, I think I have a pretty solid plan on how I can make it work, but it'll take some time to set up.
First, I need to become more comfortable at work. My impression that I would learn the project fast and become proficient enough that it doesn't exhaust me by the end of the day was wrong. Fortunately or unfortunately, my job has to take precedence.
Second, I need to establish a process in blender that works well enough so I can have some predictability. Right now, I'm just trying things out and learning, meaning I have no idea how many renders I can make any day.
Now, the way pausing on Patreon works is that it'll only allow me to do it one month at a time. Initially, I was going to do it for three months, but I actually think it might be a good thing--At the end of each month, I'll have to think if I'm in a good position to resume or not and can extend by one month if not.
I feel like I'm not delivering on the promise I made when I created this Patreon page. It's just something I need to do until I feel I'm deserving of your support.
Thanks for understanding.

Have fun! Remember this was a project you were making for artistic expression, not your full-time life. All I ask is that you DO finish it. The one thing an author owes their audience is an ending.
Believe me, I've been waiting to show off the ending for years. I've been setting it up for so long, I couldn't bear not to deliver it
Totally classy move. Shows integrity.
I support your priorities completely. I look forward to the continuation of this story, whenever you have time to come back to it. Good luck with the job :)
In my attempt to find more gems that touch me, I ended up playing far too many bad AVNs. And let's be honest, most of them are horrible. Eventually, I lost interest and stopped following any news from the AVN world for quite some time. Only now have I started reading updates again. And what do I see? Multiple projects on pause, one abandoned, news about illnesses, and other strokes of fate. I guess your news fits perfectly into that streak. Anyway, I'm sure most of us will survive having to wait longer to see how your story continues. I'm not pessimistic. And I wish you all the best. PS: After everything I’ve read about DAZ and seen in art streams, moving to Blender seems like a very sane thing to do. I hope Blender is better for the blood pressure.
