Basemental Drugs 2.0.5.81

And the journey continues into cleaning up old stuff from the mod that works less than optimal. I am currently working on overhauling the drugs, as the code on some of the oldest drugs was quite shitty implemented, to put it mildly. This is quite important to get everything working as good as can be, and it also makes for a more realistic venture into the virtual consumption of drugs.

There are also some other cool features with this update, like some added venues for Money Laundering if you have LittleMsSam's More Buyable Venues mod, more fluent cross functionality with WickedWhims, some fixes of missing String Tables that got lost in the last update and so on and so forth...

Note: If you have an amphetamine addicted Sim, he or she will have lost the addiction with this update. If you want them to stay addicted, bring up the cheat console (with your Sim active and selected) and type: bm_amph

How it works

Cannabis

With the last update the String Table containing the word "Open" that was used in a few of the cannabis items was removed as there were multiple instances of the word. I totally missed the fact that the one I removed was also used for the cannabis items, like ziplock bags, and cure jars. This is fixed and sorted now, and you should no longer see those empty bubbles.

Cocaine

The Cocaine Companions are not supposed to nag you for cocaine as long as they are high on cocaine. After the last update they constantly nagged. Now it's back to how it should be.

There was also some missing String Tables here, in particular for the Addiction Traits, that is fixed, along with some other fixes necessary for everything to work with the amphetamine overhaul.

Amphetamine

This is now working like Xanax and Cocaine in terms of how the buffs, OD's and addiction potential gets added. It should feel more realistic now than what it previously did.

Snorting from sinks should also work like a charm once again.

Exchange Sex for Drugs

Thanks to Turbodriver for sorting this one out. Now, whenever you exchange sex for drugs from your addicted Sim to the NPC dealer or active cocaine, MDMA or amphetamine dealer, the sex interaction will trigger, so you don't have to initiate the interaction manually.

No more manual triggering of the Wicked Whims sex after requesting to have sex for drugs.

Money Laundering

LittleMsSam has a mod called "More Buyable Venues" allowing you to purchase ownable bars, clubs, etc. 

If you own that mod and own an ownable bar or club, you can now launder your money at these locations. Simple as.

Installation Instructions

  • Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.

  • Download Basemental Drugs 2.0.5.81

  • Unzip Basemental Drugs 2.0.5.81

  • Place the unzipped files in your Mods folder

  • Remember to delete your localthumbcache.package

  • Stuff not showing up properly? - place the files directly in your Mods folder.
