Basemental Gangs News + Patch 1.125.59

Hey everyone!

I wanted to give you all a bit of an update.

First off, the good news: today's Sims 4 patch (1.125.59) did not affect any of my mods, so there's nothing to worry about on that front.

Now for the part I'm a little disappointed about.

I've been working pretty much around the clock for the past month with one goal in mind: getting the next Basemental Gangs update finished before leaving on a 10-day family holiday tomorrow.

Unfortunately... I didn't quite make it.

I really thought I'd be able to get it over the finish line, but as often happens with larger features, one thing led to another and I reached a point where I'd rather spend a little more time polishing everything than rush out something I'm not completely happy with.

The update is a fairly substantial one. It introduces an entirely new gang racket for gang leaders. Similar to how Illegal Casinos work, you'll now be able to establish an illegal gun running operation, hiring NPCs to sell weapons on behalf of your gang. Along with that comes new NPCs, new objects, a brand new venue, and quite a few supporting gameplay systems.

Rather than putting the project on hold for 10 days, I'm bringing my laptop with me and plan on spending some time working on it whenever I get the chance. My goal is still to get this release into your hands as soon as possible.

To make the wait a little easier, I'll also be posting a few screenshots from the update over the coming days so you can get a glimpse of what's coming.

Thanks, as always, for your patience and continued support. I really think this is going to be a fun addition to Basemental Gangs, and I can't wait for you all to try it.

Updated Post after reading comments:

I genuinely wasn't expecting this kind of response. Thank you all so much. ❤️

Reading through all these comments honestly means a lot, and I'm pretty blown away by how supportive and understanding you all are.

Don't worry, though. I'm definitely going to enjoy the holiday and spend quality time with my family. The laptop is mostly coming along because I enjoy what I do, and if inspiration strikes after everyone has gone to bed, I'd rather chip away at the update for a couple of hours than just sit there watching TV.

So the family time isn't going anywhere. If anything, it'll just give me something fun to work on during the quiet evenings.

Thanks again, everyone. I really do appreciate all the support. ❤️
