Episode 5.2 - Current Progress
Hi everyone!
It's been a while, so it's time for another progress update.
As you can see in the image above, we have finished writing all the scripts and making the final text changes. This means the new scenes will soon be sent to our translators so they have enough time to prepare all language versions for the release. We have also made good progress with renders and animations.
We have finished creating all the renders for the side content coming in the next update, including the final pole dance level and the new bar customer interactions. These interactions are much bigger than we originally planned and required over 700 renders and many animations. Besides that, we have already completed around half of the main scenes we want to add.
I won't repeat everything from the previous posts, but if you want to know more about what's happening behind the scenes, you can find more details in our earlier Patreon updates.
Last time I shared some information about the possible game endings. Now I can finally confirm that, after update 5.2, there will be only four more updates until the full release: 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, and 7.0. These updates will be much bigger than the previous ones, so they will probably take more time to develop. Our goal is still to release the full game by the end of next year. We won't rush or cut any content, but we're doing everything we can to stay on schedule. We're also still actively looking for another artist, which takes quite a bit of time, but I believe it will pay off in the end.
So, what can you expect in the next update?
Besides everything I already mentioned, we're starting to create scenes that depend on the path you've chosen, so having multiple save files will become much more useful. You'll get several new school scenes, not all of them related to Dean Scott. Riley will finally get her chance to work as a model, and we also hope to partially expand the swingers part of the bar. I won't reveal anything else for now - we still have a little more time before release, so I will keep some of the secrets :)
I still can't give you an official release date, so you'll have to be a little more patient. Right now, I think the update will be released around late August or early September. If we decide to release it in September, it will only be because we're also working on scenes that will be shared between updates 5.2 and 6.0. One thing I can promise is that, starting with this update, everyone should find something they enjoy in SoD.

Only 4 more updates?? The game doesn't feel like its even close to being halfway done. Riley has only just recently started actually advancing in her relationships with characters, and has only really had a small handful of sex scenes. And we've barely gotten anywhere in the story. It feels like it could have WAY more content than 4 more updates(unless they're absolutely massive)
I really enjoy thread involving streaming and dnd - I hope it will continue, since it is getting spicier every time.

I’m really feeling that with the latest adds of modeling and bar upgrading there so much going on that it doesn’t leave much to happen with either of them since there is only five updates left before the game is done. With that being said it feels like there was the shibari storyline with Ivy but then it was like Ivy storyline got merged together with Elijah. So nothing happens with her unless Elijah is included which for me was a disappointment. Overall this is my favorite AVN and I know I was put my own preferences here, but I just hope we aren’t getting so many extra plots that aren’t really going to go anywhere or get a lot of attention. It just to me really feels like the bar upgrades would be something needed earlier in the game to really be able to explore it and have it really be something. Story wise I don’t think it would have worked though.
When 5.2 is going to come?
Honestly I love bigger updates and there are so many AVNs out there to try while waiting. Take your time and make it awesome!
