I meant to do one of these when we crossed 700, but 700 kinda just came and went.

"CAS Filters" is the reason a number of new folks are here.

Permit me to reiterate what I've said in the post for that mod:

• I'm never going to put "CAS Filters" behind a paywall.

• I'm never going to put "CAS Filters" behind any type of "Early Access" anything.

• It is a simple mod that anyone can do, but I will still D.I.Y. it eventually so the mod can continue without me if I ever disappear.

• No drama that I find myself in, even with other creators, will stop me from adding filters for "everyone". I keep placing "everyone" in rabbit ears (quotations) only because I'm still deliberating whether "everyone" includes creators who doxx their patrons. I suppose it does, and I can just suffix their names with " (Doxxer)". 😹

As I said in the second one, I don't do "special" releases for these kinda things 'cause everything I do is "special" to me, and also, I mod when I mod, which is most of the time because I need to keep my mind occupied.

My posts are public, truly public - you don't even need to be a free member to view the post or download anything. My comments are also public - you don't even need to be a free member to comment, you just need a Patreon account. These are settings available to everyone on Patreon, and I chose these specific settings intentionally.

I'm not everyone's cuppa tea, but you will never catch me telling you to "get some patience" when I haven't updated a mod yet. What you will find me saying is "if I lapse on something you need and you see me active, make a comment or contact me directly and let me know so I can update it". I'm doing a lot of things and I'm dealing with a fair number of real-life hurdles, but I can pause whatever I'm currently working on to update a mod.

You also won't catch me fostering or encouraging toxic sentiments towards marginalized groups or oppressed people. I'm progressive as !@#$, and I'm sure anyone who has been here for a while has realized it.

Most of my rants are about EA's anti-consumerism or nonsense going on in the community, and I only go after "the community" when I notice something so egregious that I feel like someone needs to say something that won't disappear under peer pressure.

Do I go too far sometimes? Sure, but not really.

There's a reason "TEN (10) YEARS" is my go-to "kicker".

TEN (10) YEARS was ample time for "cooler heads" to steer us in a better direction.

I love this franchise, but I'm tired of the BS surrounding it.

I prefix my post titles with emojis so you know what kinda post it is before clicking on it:

• 🐱 are generally used for CAS Reviews, but I also use a kitty for my "Announcements" post. There's currently a 💀 on the "Announcements" post to signify that the internet is !@#$ right now. It's been there for months and likely ain't going away anytime soon.

• 🦄 is me stuff, like this post.

• 🚧 are posts still under construction. I use this for both mods and D.I.Y. posts.

• 🎁 is for all types of mods. If there's a gift box, there's a download available.

• 🎀 is for third-party mods I feel like highlighting.

• 🎓 is for D.I.Y. and tutorials.

• 🔨 is for troubleshooting, which I haven't done much of lately.

• 🔄 is for game update notices.

• 👹 is for FOMO bullshit.

• ☢️ is for my rants.

I'll add any I forgot sometime later. I should dedicate a post to explaining the emojis I use.

☆// - SCARLET'S INFLUENCE ON MY MODDING:

A lot of my mods are geared towards inclusion.

I'm not transgender, but Scarlet is "transframe". I don't even really consider Scarlet transgender, but in the context of the features currently available in the game, Scarlet is transgender - they're Male with a Feminine Frame.

I didn't always have Scarlet. Once upon a time I had a "cisframe" male sim, and I've had multiple "cisframe" female sims, but none of them really did it for me.

I credit Scarlet for a lot of my modding.

Had I not created a "transframe" sim, I'd not have realized how !@#$ed this game is for "transframe" sims, or how easy it is to fix most of the issues, because a lot of it is just Tuning and PartFlags, baby.

I mod because I need the game to work properly for Scarlet.

I mod because I see broken things and I can fix some of it.

It's part of the reason why I don't pay much heed to what folks tell me I can and can't do.

If life was different I might not be like this, but it is what it is, and I am who I am.

I was modding and ranting when there was only one of you here.

In fact, one of my best rants occurred before most of you were here - my big "attack on titan". You won't find it in the "R.A.N.T. Collection" because it needs a formatting update.

ANYWAY! I'm either gonna mod, or I'm gonna nap, then mod.

I also need to update my mods on CF and NM.

I don't actually know how I feel about those stars and lines but I felt like the tiny prefix before my section headings weren't cutting it.

I might just be two minds about it because of how bloated the "CAS Filters" post is. I don't really know how to cut down that post because all of the mandatory reading sections are, well, mandatory for understanding the mod. Shirley I can refine some of it though.

Also, I'm doing little globes "[🌐]" now for in-line hyperlinked text. I don't do a lot of hyperlinked text because I've known that hyperlinked text is near impossible to differentiate from regular text long before it was raised as an issue, but from now on, any in-line hyperlinks will be added to "[🌐]" instead of the text. I'll retroactively add them to older posts when the internet permits. "Links" will remain as they are because they're already preceded by an emoji of some kind, as seen in my SENPAI and BOOTY sections.

I submitted a Support Ticket to Patreon concerning the hyperlinks... when was it, yesterday? The response boiled down to "we'll take it under consideration" with no E.T.A. on whether any meaningful changes will happen. <SIGH> Is fine. We can "make-do" while our overlords take accessibility "under consideration".

Just so you know, once upon a time links and maybe even hyperlinks were either underlined by default or we could underline them. I found a post from 2018 with underlined links. We can't do that anymore and I don't understand why.
