DevTalk: Localization & Voice Acting

Hey everyone!

Today, we want to talk a bit about something many of you have asked about over time: localization and voice acting.

First of all, yes, we’re planning to expand localization in the game. Right now, the project is primarily developed with one core language in mind, but we know that a big part of our community comes from different parts of the world. Because of that, we want to make the game more accessible and comfortable for more people to play.

Localization is not just about translating text word-for-word. Our goal is to adapt the dialogue so that it still feels natural, preserves the humor, and preserves the characters' personalities. Anyone who has worked with storytelling knows that jokes, emotions, and character tone don’t always translate directly — so we want to do it properly.

Along with localization, we’re also planning to add voice acting of the emotions to the game.

Voice acting is something we’ve wanted to experiment with for a while because it adds another layer of immersion. Hearing characters react feels much more alive. Our goal is not to voice every single line immediately, but to gradually introduce voice acting where it makes the most impact.

As always, we’ll keep you updated as this develops. And we’d also love to hear your thoughts, especially about voice acting.

Do you prefer fully voiced scenes, partial voice acting, or just key moments voiced?

Let us know your feedback, as it really helps us shape these features in ways that work best for the community.
