New Build Coming Soon

I've been chipping away at new BigPEmu features, and while the developer build stuff is still a work in progress, I've been working on the scripting system in tandem and it's become quite robust. Robust enough to fix sync problems, uncap framerates, and most impressively, hook into games to provide native-res rendering. That even includes textured objects with optional filtering.

Since the Jaguar itself doesn't know what a triangle/polygon is, this is stuff that might've been thought impossible, and can now be achieved with just a couple hundred lines of script code! Of course, mileage/complexity varies per game. But it's working beautifully in Cybermorph.

I did a nice feature today with Digital Foundry, where we talked all manner of Jaguar, and I showcased some of these new scripting features, including uncapping the framerate in Alien vs Predator and rendering Cybermorph at native resolution. You can check it out here:

And here's an image of Cybermorph rendering native, all polygons and sprites are at native resolution (with optional bilinear filtering for the sprites!) and the original HUD is automatically composited with the native rendering.

I'm hoping to have a build out to my patrons sometime in the next week or 2. I'm sorry again that my productivity hasn't been good over these last 2 months, I'm still going through a lot on the medical side of things. I'm also sorry the development build itself still isn't quite ready, and I hope this scripting capability also provides some extra usefulness for developers.
