Release 15 | Status update
Sorry for the delay in updating you. The last week has been absolutely crazy here.
I made this development progress chart a little differently. Since there are so many different modules, I only tracked the progress of each module.
The Scrapbook feature is taking me a lot—and I mean a lot—more work than I expected.
Actually, it’s not the feature itself. That’s all set up and working! ✅
Including the checkpoints in the stories to indicate which images to unlock and which text to include on each character’s pages wasn’t that complicated either (it was labor-intensive, but I made quick progress). ✅
What really kept me busy basically the whole week was figuring out a way to load all the information for players who already had an old save file! ❌
When you open your game in the next release, the scrapbook is expected to load all the stories you’ve already played and correctly insert all the memories you’ve experienced.
Since this is a feature I’ve only just implemented—without any prior plan to do so—I hadn’t prepared anything in the game for it.
I don’t have any reliable markers that show me exactly which scenes each player has already played through.
Some stories have a more consistent flow… I can use the existing variables to trace the path the player has taken up to that point. But for some more complex stories, like Connor’s or Josh’s, I simply have no way of knowing exactly which path each of you followed.
I’m having to improvise using things like: “If such-and-such image appears in the gallery, then the player took such-and-such a route, so insert such-and-such text.”
But there are hundreds and hundreds of combinations of routes and choices. Imagine the work involved in mapping out all the possible routes and saving them in the journal.
It almost drove me crazy.
Now it’s almost done… only two stories left.
But I think it’ll be worth it! The scrapbook is going to be one of the most interesting features of the game.
I’ll be back with posts detailing the progress now that the worst is over.

is there any way you can add the download on patreon? every time I go to download it on itch.io, it keeps stopping half way through and then failing to finish.
I’m probably really late commenting, but if importing our old save to the new version is unfeasible or cause too much bugs. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask us to restart. Especially if you add a completed save files that let us skip to the new stories.
Interesting suggestion. Maybe I’ll make files available with saves of the complete game—one as a slave, another as a lover, and one with all objectives completed. For those who just want to have everything saved in the journal without the hassle of playing through the game again.
Any update on the Status Update?
Thank you so much! I just wanna ask something, is Isaiah's story really done? I wanna see more of him where he can fall in love with Hunter if you know what I mean hehe. But seriously, this game is really fun to play. Thanks for making an amazing game!
Thank you i follow u game for 2 years
When i made that suggestion that inspired the whole scrapbook idea. I really didnt think it would it was going to be such a logistical nightmare to program into the game. So uh... im sorry for the headache i've caused😅
thank you so much! Will we be able to invite other characters to the frat house, eventually, especially the younger ones, such as isaiah and those skaters, maybe even Hector too?
I would have been fine starting a new game, these things are expected with a in development game.
Congratulations on the high-quality work and thank you very much for your commitment.
