Release 15 | Status Update - Journal

I read all the posts, and I pay attention to all the suggestions and comments asking for improvements.

So when I read a comment mentioning how cool it would be to have a sort of diary or journal documenting our Hunter’s daily life and achievements, I realized that this would truly enhance the gaming experience.

After all, the game is called “The Daily Adventures of a Male's Hunter,” and every hunter keeps a detailed record of his hunts. 😎

We already have the trophy gallery, but something different is coming. On the home screen, there will be a new button labeled something like “My Journal.” When you click it, you’ll see something like this:

* It’s still in development, so I’ve only posted the screen I’m using as a template to implement the features—it may change slightly.

Here, the player will be able to view and track all targets and details about them.

They’ll be listed in alphabetical order, and you’ll be able to access the profile of each man as they’re added via the tabs or arrows.

On the left side, there will be his photo, the location where he was found, and personal details about the man (occupation, relationship status, current status of the hunt, and more).

Below that, there will be a text section (like the Hunter’s diary) that will be updated as the story unfolds, with a summary of what happened, how the Hunter managed to catch the guy, etc...

This way, in the future, when there are many men in the gallery, the player will be able to recall details of each one’s story.

On the right side, it will be similar to those “achievements and collections” screens found on Steam or in other games.

It’ll be like a sticker album where, as the player achieves objectives, they unlock images that capture that moment.

It’ll be something like: The first time the player saw the target, the first time they saw him shirtless, the first time they saw him naked, the first blowjob, etc.—as well as other “objectives.”

This is something I’m still thinking about… but in order to complete the entire set of stickers, the player might need to play through the game multiple times—sometimes with the target as a lover, other times as a slave. Since following just one path won’t allow you to complete the entire set.

To make this work, this part will have to use that permanent save feature. In other words, even if you restart the game or use a different save file, these achievements will remain saved.

But of course, no one is required to unlock everything. You can just unlock the images you’re interested in seeing—you can stick with just the ones from your chosen path.

All of this is new; I decided to implement it in the last few days, so I’m still testing it and seeing if I can pull it off. Of course, then I’ll have to figure out how to update the stories that are already saved.

But it’s the kind of thing where the sooner I do it, the better… the more stories I add, the more work it would take to adapt them in the future.

I think this feature will be so interesting that I have no doubt many people will feel like starting a new game, just to play and fill out the album.
