MISFITS pleaseeeeeeee I know these guys will love it you guys keep recommending dead old shows fuck sake lol or this is England movie then the series would be epic
https://youtu.be/Pwfa04iQyZI?is=_T7hn3fdsfGUnwsG A hidden talent of Jez you might enjoy
I like to imagine they ended up successfully as men with ven
It certainly gets sadder the older they get - glad they stopped there. It has so much legs to return to it when they’re in their mid 60s I think
Ooh the guy from Industry
Mitchell and Webb Look next? 👼😜
I'm not crying, you are 🥹
Fresh meat would be a great show for you to watch, it's so accurate to the student culture here in the uk. Brings back memories of my early 20s haha
When it was broadcast I only ever watched as far as the wedding of Mark and Sophie, it's been a real treat seeing many new episodes to me, with you so thank you! Also... just to say last Christmas Day I spent alone to avoid spreading a chest infection to relatives, it sucked but the special Peep Show Great British Bake Off was shown that day and was a real treat while I was having my Christmas dinner for one!
Super Hans is the only one with his sh!t together. The other two remain in their loveless marriage, ad infinitum :D
Hans may be an addict but he’s not actually fucking mental like mark and Jez haha
Shafted by a piss addict! 😂😂😂
People just do nothing!
Great show! I find it actually funnier than the office , even though it was inspired by it
Thank you both! It's been SO rainbow rhythms 🌈
We understand that this has hit you hard Jess, but alcohol is never the answer!
How many shows have ever been made like Peep Show? None. Unique and amazing, and a great ride from beginning to end.
So has next mondays show been decided?
If it has they’ve not told us yet. I think it will be a surprise.
Signing off.
😭
what a lovely tipsy turvy ride it's been watching with you guys! Thank you (:
Hey guys, not sure if you’ll read this, but I’d love to see you guys give “People Just do Nothing” a shot. It helped scratch the Peep Show shaped itch left behind for me when it aired, and it’s one of my top 3 British sitcoms :) It’s in a mockumentary style and gets very very good in the latter seasons. I sincerely think you guys will like it, and it doesn’t have the rough early season issues that Peep Show did. Either way, even if it’s just a Pilot episode reaction, I’d love to see you guys give it a go if you have the time & schedule! I really think it’s up your alley.
My favourite ending to a show ever. No bells and whistles, no emotional manipulation,no going off into the sunset , no tying up narrative loose ends, just pure and brilliantly twisted Peepshow shenanigans.
Parting is such sweet sorrow 💪🏼💪🏼
It's been a pleasure watching this with you guys. One of the most brutally funny shows ever made. Also one of the most rewatchable.
There is no other show with such an intense level of quotable lines. I fucking love this show man.
thanks for all your work reacting to this incredible show. Season 9 is incredible considering the years away from season 8, perfect ending - literally everyone back to square 1
Thanks for the ride! I hadn't watched past Series 5 so I was long with you guys
Please watch Benidorm :)
The Thick of It. Very timely.
I would love for you to move into some more modern shows next. I tentatively recommend the following: - Derry Girls (I feel like you will both like this as it's lots of humour packed in quickly and characters with distinct personalities. It's very feel-good. I feel confident in this suggestion for you two.) - Fleabag (This one is more of a wild card tbh and I'm much more unsure about it for you... It's a bit darker but I think you'll handle the awkward scenes a lot better now after you've liked Peep Show. It balances drama with comedy and is not as feel-good as most other shows you like. It might be refreshing though and I think you will each react differently to it. The first episode can be a bit shocking but it pays off if you give it a chance to understand the characters a little. My two favourite comedies that I can rewatch again and again are this and Green Wing but for different reasons.)
Think I’ve watched Peep Show start to finish about 6 times. Never gets old.
You're a great couple and are perfect for a sitcom dealing with relationships. Coupling is an extraordinary good show dealing with relationships from the differing perspective of males and females. This is a show that is perfect for you. Another is Just Good Friends written by John Sullivan of Only Fool and Horses fame. Hugely popular in its day. Both of these great shows have been egregiously overlooked by reaction channels.
What a journey! Outrageous and contagious. 👏
End of an era . Thanks for making Mondays more bearable 🩷
Superb stuff! 😂😂♥♥
What a Journey! Was a pleasure to rewatch with you all 🥹🥺
If you watch the peep show bake off ep you should watch these short vids at the start of the reaction, "Peep Show but it's a horror film" and "Peep Show but it's a RomCom"... links below. https://youtu.be/yoWW5UQfsRk https://youtu.be/NOJ3OiahTYI
Will you pull me off? :D golden show , loved every reaction to it! 👍👍 also fret not , someday... the show " That Mitchel and Webb Look" can almost fill that hole that peep show has left✌️ the fact the last frames of peep show are from the pov of us/the tv is so so good!
Praying for "Black books" or "Plebs" next. No pressure.
They’re going to give Plebs a go after Green Wing.
Hey be fair on Hans, he has always been fine with a bit of light kidnapping, it’s water boarding he draws the line at haha. Also, is the first time we learn he’s called Simon?
I think we find out during his wedding, earlier in S9.
Is there a way to recommend other shows? I know you probably have a backlog and you have the results of the polls but they kind of led you astray with Partridge and Father Ted etc so maybe you're up for some updated recommendations based more on what you have already enjoyed.
People make rec’s in the comments all the time
10k gold is more "solid" than 24k but it is only 40% gold. Pure is 24k but its soft as baby shite.
Black Books next!
40 pushing it arnt they ( yes they are tv characters I know)they were 45 when this came out 11 years ago , I have peepshow on in back ground to fall asleep to like a comfort blanket, Here is a Peep Show Q&A from 2024 With the Creators and David and Robert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwO1HP7ZS-c
Have absolutely loved rewatching this with you guys. I'm kind of sad it's over because there's nothing else quite like it. Perfect ending :)
That Mitchell and Webb look, not like peep show but is a very funny sketch show starring and created by the guys. A fitting way to carry on. Check it out
Good call, great show - plus, Olivia Coleman is in it so that’ll fill a need too…
Plebs is a good show if you're looking for something, no doubt you have 100's of request for different shows though lmao 😆
They’re going to give Plebs a go after Green Wing.
No doubt it's already been mentioned, "The Thick of It" would be a great comedy to replace this, as both shows share some of the writers, and it has some similar style of dialogue.
I second this. They have to meet Malcolm Tucker.
I know its a sketch show, but to help you get over peeps show you could fill it "that mitchel and webb look" has some brilliant sketches in it.
What a ride it's been watching you two get sucked into this crazy, depraved world. Fantastic last reaction guys, Mondays need something good again. How about Spaced? Only a couple of series but I think you will both love it
It's such a non ending ending! No happy endings, no closure like most shows but that's why it's a perfect ending for this style of show. Hey they did do a movie together but sadly it's not Peepshow, it's called Magicians.
Thank you RegenerationNationTV for bringing Peepshow in to my life. I enjoyed every minute.
Welcome to the sick freaks club. Its very rainbow rhythms
Can't believe we're at the end... might just have to rewatch from the start!
Thanks guys 😢
That's numberwang.
Let's rotate the board!
What a journey it has been. Thank-you.
The end of an era </3
There's lots of BTS on YouTube if you want it!
Gonna miss this. Other people have suggested Back, which is great. Theres also That Mitchell and Webb Look, a sketch show they did which is fantastic.
Now this has finished and taskmaster, does anyone know what's replacing them. Definitely going to miss this one
What a journey! One of my fav sitcoms of all time and it's been a pleasure to rewatch with you and Im so glad you liked it. It has brill rewatch value btw. There are so many jokes which will land better second/third time round. You've finished so many shows this week! Can I please suggest a couple for you to consider (def check out the trailers - I agree with your approach on this) Inside No 9 - A dark comedy anthology. Each episode is different story/new characters and all have elements of horror and comedy and often involve twists, reveals and surprises. In my opinion it's one of the best pieces of TV to come out of UK in a long time. Also, as the characters change every ep, you'll recognise quite a few from other shows. This would be my first choice, but I would also love you guys to watch: Black Books (same creator as Father Ted and starring a few actors you know and like); The Thick of It (great political satire/comedy - very sweary, but brilliant and clever). Thanks again, both of you. Still love watching stuff with you xxx
I'm sure I'll end up binge watching your entire reaction to this series again one day. Glad you enjoyed this gem!
A sad day but I have enjoyed your reactions to this series. I look forward to whatever you choose next.
Look, peep show has ended, nothing can make today all right. But maybe we can take some comfort from the brutal reality that the weak must make way for the strong. Evolution marches on. The scythe is remorseless. I hope the scythe's remorseless swing can bring some comfort to you all. Ok byeee
You can just start it again.
Thank you so much for this one guys. Been watching for nearly 2 years now! Subbed after the Rule Britannia reaction, and as soon as I saw this on the Patreon I had to join up! What a show…
The bake off episode is a great shout! Something different and yeah it's nice to see some of the cast back together
It has been one hell of a journey guys and I’m really grateful I got to rewatch this iconic show with you.
Wow, it feels like only yesterday Mike was struggling with the filming style.
There was kind of a movie. The writers did a movie with David Mitchell and Robert Webb called "The Magicians", with other people from Peep Show in it too. I think it's a great movie, and it is basically Mark and Jez. If you want a copy I can get you one. "Magicians is a 2007 British comedy film released on 18 May 2007. It stars comic duo Robert Webb and David Mitchell as stage magicians Karl and Harry. The two magicians compete together in a magic competition, despite their personal differences. The film is directed by Andrew O'Connor and written by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, who are also the writers of the Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show, which stars Mitchell and Webb."
Magicians is a great watch
Robert Webb wasn't in the bake-off thing by the way but five of the other main character actors were - albeit it won't be your ideal five. There's also a familar face from another show amongst the presenting cast, if you don't know - won't say who.
I’ve enjoyed being on this reaction journey with you Mike & Jess. This might be worth a reaction. It’s a 20th anniversary to celebrate Peep Show. It’s got the writers & some of the cast in front of a live audience talking about the show & taking some Q&A. The host of the panel discussions is Cariad Lloyd who played Megan in the final series. https://youtu.be/DwO1HP7ZS-c?si=_wiJnpVk3_RyQOLp
I feel like the 2-series comedy 'Back' that David Mitchell and Robert Webb did could be a good follow on in the future https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5676590/
Im a few weeks behind with peep show, so won't be watching the final yet. But would someone tell me if Mike and Jess have said anything about what the next show will be?
No. Next week, it will be a surprise, or the bake off special
I don't know if it was intentional, but the first thought we hear in the pilot is Jez's, and the last is Mark's.
“I’m just a woman that likes Justice and Alcohol” - well said Jess - there is most definitely a t-shirt in that…! 🕺Good work…!
Ah man, sad this has come to an end. Was great to rewatch it with you guys and has made Monday mornings that little bit more bearable each week knowing we had this to look forward to!
Now this has finished I implore you not to go down a dark road. Don’t be a slave to polls. The thick of it will be your new favourite. Ask KB
1000% agree
Blackadder tomorrow! But what episode will we get?! 😂
S4E6 hopefully. It's the only good one really.
OK, I'll be honest. Peep show has been my least favourite since it began but I've enjoyed the reactions.
I was in a different country when I started these with you. And it kept me grounded whilst on the other side of the world, aswell as being one of the best TV shows. I am back in the UK, about to go on another adventure.. its very sad this has ended, its been a very warm consistent
Cant believe mike called that lol also did you miss super han's name ?
We knew his name from the wedding
One of the most depressing, yet fitting, ending to a sitcom ever .. they really got it just right
Basically the perfect end of the show. They are made for each other 😂
Turning 40 didn’t bother me. Maybe because I’m in academia where I still count as a youngster. I did sometimes jokingly say I was thirty nine last year, so now I’m thirty ten.
Watch the Bake Off episode if you want to, but the Mitchell and Webb sketch show is a great way to keep going with these crazy cats (with a sprinkle of Olivia Colman).
Just heard the intro and wanted to say, Peep Show bake off would be amazing here! Also, it was the 20th anniversary of the show not too long ago and they did a big Q&A with the writers and cast which was really good. It was mostly just them reminiscing and talking about their favourite moments, I recommend it too. Been loving your reactions to this and I will miss it on a Monday!
Big yes for the Bake Off special
"He's got his hands on my udders and he's actually milking me." - Thankfully Peep Show is endlessly rewatchable. Glad you two enjoyed it ✌️
Could you react to bloopers and behind the scenes stuff? ❤️
This has been a religious watch for me every monday morning. Its been great rewatching with you guys!
Brilliant finale, brilliant reaction. Feels like end of an era. Suppose I'll just start from the beginning again as it's timeless. Mike that comment youade about the Easter bunny, father Christmas then the evil dude who comes and steals a year from you had me in stitches as well mate. So true.
I didn't think I liked the last season of Peepshow as much as the others, but this recent rewatch with you guys makes me realise it's just as good as the others. I think it's just because I associate it with the show ending. My family still quotes peep show at each other all the time. It's a comfort watch anytime we're all together. Still has us bursting out laughing. It's so dense with jokes and there's such a range of silly to intellectual that it covers all bases.
butter the toast, eat the toast, shit the toast. God, life's relentless. - this lives rent free in my head
Jeff’s return was the thing I was most looking forward to seeing the reaction to 😄
Please can you look at ‘Sally for Ever’ featuring Dawn from Gavin & Stacey
Also April I think?
Do we know what’s replacing it yet?
JEFF DID NOTHING WRONG
Apart from casual adultery
One thing I remember from when you started Peep Show was how disappointed you both were when Super Hans showed up for a second time. Then seeing how excited you both got each time he showed up. Brilliant show I've watched through dozens of time but watching with you both was a real treat so thank you.
😔 But now PEOPLE JUST DO NOTHING 🥳🥳🥳
Peep Show isn't even cold yet. Show some respect.
I’d love to see you guys react to the special Peep Show episode of Bake Off!
If Ive said it once, I've said it a thousand times (first time I've ever said it) you gutta watch Stath Let's Flats next x
I was years late to that show and was very pleasantly surprised. Hilarious and wacky from start to finish.
Series 9 has it's flaws, but I love that they perfectly encapsulated the two characters in the very final scene. Jez randomly asking Mark to pull him off and Mark responding with a trademark dour shutting down of his nonsense, followed by: JEZ: Aww, we do love each other really. MARK: ...I simply must get rid of him. Also a nice symbolic call-back to the very first episode with the wolves on the tele. Nine series, however many years, kids, marriages, fights, ...and they're just back where they started, doomed to be quasi-satisfied quasi-depressed, enabling each other's nonsense for eternity. Would be frustrating in most long running shows, but perfectly fitting for these two.
Peep show ending is giving me a powerful sense of dread. (The better the show the more the dread)
Peep Show is a never ending loop. Go back to the beginning.
So sad it’s over 😭 what a journey !
This is it guys, it’s been an absolute pleasure 🫡
Might I recommend the show, "Back", also starring both Mitchell and Webb.
Yes, very good show... S1 is stronger than S2 though, which is is a bit annoying, but still worth watching.
