OMG, this broke me! My lovely sweet 13 year old Kelpie is struggling with arthritis, we don't know how much longer we have with her but I cannot bear the thought of her not filling our home with her gentle, clever, cheeky self. The way Derek cried at losing Ivor was so real, anyone who has loved and lost a pet will know that raw heartbreak.
We need a motherland reaction ✨
Who the fuck are you? Henry the VIII? Best line 😂 so good. The worst thing I've ever done in my life is having to hold dog and cuddle it while it get injected and out down for cancer! Fucking awful situation to witness, didnt help that the vet was an uncaring cunt too, unlike this one on Derek.
David Earl making a robot, interesting concept, may i point you towards Brian and Charles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JfWZd4CtIE
Ivor's going to sleep is the best thing Gervais has done. Breaks my heart. Having been through that a number of times the words he put into the Vet's mouth are absolutely perfect. Still miss all my canine family every day.
WWE IS REAL TO ME DAMMIT! 😂
♥♥ All dogs go to Heaven.
Hi guys I’m so sorry for bringing the atmosphere down but I’ve just watched the scene where the dog had to be put down and it reminded me of the same situation when i had to let my cat go and I have just bawled my heart out I’m so sorry thank you for your reaction you’re both brilliant lots of love xx
Why does someone or something have to die almost every episode?
I like Derek as a show but I do find some of the tear jerking moments in this feel more "on the nose" compared to After Life where to me they felt much more poignant, natural and conducive to the plot. The whole dog plotline in this episode, while very sad, just felt crowbarred in to get viewers crying (that's how it felt to me anyway).
A 41 year old man blubbering like a baby at the dog part, this show ffs! Then he made the robot dog at the end and it got me again !
This episode crushes me now, my dog is over 10 years old and I know the day will come sooner rather than later, -
what an episode, brutal stuff but incredible
I had to have my dog put to sleep the other week, the vet was amazing. They had a little room with a bed so I could cuddle with my dog while she passed.
Dog looks like a border terrier 👌
I recently lost my 2 yr old car called Ivar, this seriously hit home for me. Putting down a pet is honestly one of the worst things you can do
I do not like the ending, he does need to work and do what is best for him. She's not going to like a jobless man who hates himself because he feels worthless for very long. She would much prefer a man in uniform serving his country that she may not get to see all the time, but at least he earns money and has self respect.
He wasn't joining the military. The merchant navy personnel are civilians.
I remember when I were a kid my mum told me our dog was going to live on a farm.... I believed her until I were like 28 lol. I were watching something on TV where I learned that's something all parents said :/ It's worse than telling the truth as now I feel scammed.
9:32 I look at that and just see the CRT TV and monitor and want them both.
Mike comparing it to wrestling is a great way to say it as a fan myself
Oh man I really can't do when dogs die... This one had me crying pretty hysterically. I went through that exact thing 4 years ago with my dog and I still am not fully over it. This eipsode took me right back into that vets room. It always surprises me how Ricky Gervais manages to get me ALL. THE .TIME.
Don't forget there is also a special episode, a 'season 3' episode.
The dog is a mix but mostly a Boarder Terrier
Jack Russell. Aw man i remember having to take my dog to be put down its the worst thing. I havnt had one since.
Geoff is such a different character to Ken in Afterlife. Just shows how good an actor Colin Hoult is.
About the only different character played by the same actor too so id have to agree
Well that was an emotional rollercoaster blimey 😅
Jess I think you would love the film 'Love Actually'! Even if you dont react too it (id def watch a reaction to this). Please watch it you will love it 😁
"Moody little f£$%a can't read"
Jess, if you’re a Hallmark girl who loves a good romance, you might enjoy Last Tango in Halifax! It follows two people who reconnect later in life after falling in love as teenagers. It’s sweet and funny, with plenty of family drama around the romance too. Thought it might be right up your alley!
"Oh, don't lose it? I was gonna take it upstairs and lose it mate. Prat" made me laugh hard.
Well, that's set me up for the day 😁!
There were people on the titanic who pushed away their pudding.. Means enjoy the pleasures in life because you don't know what tomorrow brings.
Exactly what I thought but then they paused and questioned it then I questioned myself.
I'm so glad Jess said "what?" When Hannah tells Tom to grow up. How is going away for work immature? 🤣 It hits home with me as I've as worked away from home most of my life 😂
This is where people get confused with how to apply boundaries. Hannah absolutely can decide she doesn't want a long distance realationship but she was wrong to use that to force Tom to stay by saying it is his choice if they remain together. She can let him know her feelings and end the relationship if he chooses to leave but that is absolutely her choice, not Toms
Probably going to be an unpopular opinion. I still think Jess and Mike should have one day off a week. And maybe once a month have a film reaction. Much love to you all. Put a smile on my face through dark times x
How much would Jess love 'Love Actually' 😁
Derek- Kevs Christmas Crackers is a must watch. It was a 12 part 1-2 minute each special after season 1, should be on youtube. Absolutely hilarious
Oh yeah they are amazing
