Jack giving off Bas vibes 😉🤜
I can confirm that Alka-Seltzer does not make a seagull explode
Have you tried it? 😅
Jack hard AF. Different generation and build. The Greatest Generation, the pinnacle of women and men. Then hammered into unparalleled and unseen war time, twice with-in a century, on and off the field. That's crazy.
Geoff kinda looks (and acts IRL) like Christian Bale a little.
You guys should check out Ted Lasso at some point you'd absolutely love Tom's character in it
Agreed
I love you guys :)
Derry girls would be the perfect show for you guys next, hilarious but so sad i think this is the perfect recipe for a good show you would like, him & her too. Royle family would be perfect but sadly its so specifically northern english in references and culture that it might go down bad with you
Your hug together at the end got me too xx
Off topic here i know but I'm interested to find out with the OFAH reactions if they will watch miami twice as one big movie or split it across two weeks. If I had to hazard a guess I'd say it'll be a two week split.
It will be done as two parts. Apparently the combined version has quite a bit cut from it. Mike said they’ll be done a week apart.
What a lovely episode, yeah that was a gorgeous touch with the wink at the end. The moment jacks literally stands up for his pal, I was thinking beforehand "Will no-one say anything" and boom. He thought he has the skinny on the place, and was embarrassed for it :D boshh
Episode is peak Gervais...equal parts funny and heartbreaking with a tinge of hope.
I find the caretaker guy to be an unnecessary addition tbh. He's just mean and not even in a funny way.
Its to show people like that do exists and are a problem in care homes.
That wonderful moment when old Jack stands up and says, quietly but threateningly: His hair grew back ! Absolute corker. I originally watched this show quite a few years ago and never since until now so I'd forgotten a lot of the details and am really enjoying them again now with you two. Loving it.
Oi leave off the accent 😂. It's how we talk in Nottingham 😂🤫
It's not the accent, it's how he uses it 😂
You guys need to do 'Kev's Christmas Crackers', it's a web series and promotional video collection featuring the character Kev from 'Derek'. Very apt for the festive period to come!
I went through that with my girlfriend twice. Now 22 years later here we are, married, with 5 grown up children. I can't imagine what's it's like for people that it never worked out for.
You don't mess with Jack's generation. Tough old boots. Babies or young children during WWII, teenagers and young adults during the 10 years of hardship and rationing after the war. That's why we respect them.
Don’t know what made me more tearful, the moments in the show or your reactions to it ❤️🙏
Oh man. What a smack in the feels.
The funny thing with this show is I always start watching it and go "it's crap" and it will never be more than a 5/10 show... But it always gets better and saves itself at the end.
I had a similar thing happen to me when I were 16 working and I thought it would be romantic to aggressively quit my job to go on a date with her.... She suddenly wasn't impressed with me and I ended up jobless and dateless LMAO.
If you guys liked the zoo worker guy, you should watch the film "Cemetery Junction" written by Ricky and Steve. He's the main character and it's a really good film.
...and you'll see lots of familiar faces :)
The look in Mike's eye during the wig bit. Me too mate, me too.
All dogs go to heaven, that is the only explanation I can find for the passing of a child. There must be a friendship waiting for them up there.
Firstly I love your love it’s absolutely magic to watch, secondly absolutely amazing to see Mike get so protective over the lady crying, thirdly as someone who has had 3 losses this is beautifully written, the way Tom looked, the way Vicky was there for her absolutely spot on what a great episode with you guys ☺️
3 losses? I’m so sorry ❤️😔
Kev and the inmate Charles Bronson have identical artwork
Wholesome, sweet and very funny - and that's even before the show starts. 🤗 Thank you Mike and Jess - wishing you and your family a lovely and fab weekend xxx
Brett Goldstein who plays Tom is the creator and one of the main stars of "Ted Lasso". A fantastic show. You guys should watch Ricky's show "Life's Too Short" starring Warwick Davis as himself. Like "Extras" it has celebrities playing warped versions of themselves including Warwick. It is a pseudo documentary following Warwick as a dodgy agent to other dwarves, not unlike Darren in "Extras". Ricky & Steve appear briefly in each episode as themselves. Colin Hoult who plays Geoff in "Derek" is the most hilariously fake medium you've ever seen.
Agree. I think they’ll like that show. Very underrated.
That’s a cultural and linguistic boundary not geographical that’s why Derbyshire is very similar to both
Staffs and Notts share a massive boundary zone and shared dialect I always wondered about the similarities xx
I love the fact Mike you got fired up due to that prk of a caretaker making an old woman cry. I know it’s only a show but I can tell you hate wrongdoing in this world. It made the show better for me. Peace guys.
The moment the Kev puts his hand on Tom’s shoulder is such a moment too 🥰
Yeah. For some reason, thats the bit that really got me actually.
He must have winked at j-lo
It’s a Staffordshire /Stoke accent ❤️❤️❤️
I always thought Nottingham
Freeakaaay
