I knew that ending would get the eyes misty. It got me and I've seen this a few times. As you said Jess, Ricky has a rare ability when writing, to ambush you with strong emotions, whilst keeping it realistic and grounded. Get your tissues ready for episode 6 (in that way, not a Kev way)!

Ricky is a total genius, not only does produce some of the most emotional, down to earth TV whilst maintaining a certain comedy value, he does all this whilst making Mr k dilkington look increasingly more insane.
This reminded me of something that happened to me about ten years ago. I went to meet my ex at the care home she worked at. While we were leaving, one of the very old ladies, Doris, grabbed my arm, saying I was 'lovely' etc. All the staff were saying 'Ooh, you've pulled, Doris' etc. For a joke, I said "I'll pick you up at 8pm on Tuesday" and then we left... My ex phoned me a week later and told me that at 8pm on Tuesday, Doris had taken all of her clothes off and got into bed... When she was asked why, she informed them that she was waiting for me! 😳
