Karl Devereux · September 11, 2026

Alison Steadman (Pam) one of the greats...if able to look up Nuts In May...do so...a wonderful young Alison...and Prescott's punch into that bully, ...one of the greats.

S
Stu · September 9, 2026

Mmm I’m struggling with this one. I find it a bit… 🤮 Apart from the dad Mick

C
Chorlton Outlaw · September 9, 2026

You have to find out who John Prescott is for a pay off later - please do

N
Nicola · September 9, 2026

I can really feel your frustration over the fishing trip secret 🙈😂 I just love the effort you put into the costumes! I'm fully expecting Jess to be spray painted silver next week and maybe Mike can be Dave Coaches with a snake skin shirt, tash and side burns?...

D
Danny · September 9, 2026

Next episode (season 2 finale) is one of the best episodes of the show

N
Neil's Old Radios · September 9, 2026

I was looking forward to the reaction to Bryn’s discovery of The You Tube!

M
Mark McKeown · September 9, 2026

When I think of Gavin and Stacey I always think of the foam party at the end, and the banger Snow Patrol hit. FYI There's a Christmas Special up next before s3.

m
mark hughes · September 9, 2026

She came up with that song when she was taking a bath you know.

J
Joey Martin · September 9, 2026

I get this joke.

b
bobbyy956 · September 9, 2026

Well Guys... Ive been to raw hide in New York and don't think i got as much action as Brynn and Jason !!! lol

C
Connor Ellis · September 9, 2026

Some superb episodes to come, 3rd series is strong and first two Christmas specials are good.

D
Dave · September 9, 2026

I had to watch this in 2 parts this week, obviously I started back at the beginning. Not one of the more memorable episodes but still provided lots of laughs and emotion. The snow patrol song just hit right. Long time since Ive heard it.

Z
ZStarr · September 9, 2026

God I hate smithy (I remember I did at the time) but the show is so good mate lol just replace him change the smithy character a bit and it would be perfect for me

J
Joey Martin · September 9, 2026

One day we can use AI to replace James Corden with Michael Barrymore and the show would be perfect.

G
Gareth Williams · September 9, 2026

Love the first line of that Snow Patrol song ‘you could be happy and I won’t know’. Sums up recent breakup so well.

React to the new trailer guys!! Bus wankers. Love you.

d
dwp · September 9, 2026

If you enjoyed this episode (considered the weakest of the entire show) then this show really is for you two! I love this series so much but see a lot of hate for it online. Looking forward to next week!

K
Karl Devereux · September 9, 2026

Some jokes are so quietly clever & I suspect, hard or impossible to identify if from the US.....Labour MP, Prescott's wonderfully smacking in the face of the man who threw a drink into his face at point blank range. The Blunkett bitch...the blind MPs constant dog. Rumours the MP might appear later...

J
Joey Martin · September 9, 2026

He threw a drink in his face too? Why am I only hearing about this now?

D
Dean · September 9, 2026

Have you 2 just got these clothes kicking around in your wardrobe?

S
Sarah Walker · September 9, 2026

I always remember this episode purely because of the foam, the song at the end played by Snow Patrol "You Could be Happy" which is executed well with the slo-mo. But I forgot the song played in the club 30:09 "Born Slippy" by Underworld, an absolute banger (used in Trainspotting) .

L
Liam McNichol · September 9, 2026

Yes! Along with Only Fools best time of the week! Genuinely think the whole foam party seen with Snow Patrol playing is one of the best filmed scenes in British tv history, gets me every time

h
harveyking · September 9, 2026

Agreed. What a soundtrack for the whole show too

A
Alan Ridge · September 9, 2026

I'd not even thought about it but it was good observation from Jess about Mick and Gavin's chins being similar, even though not related.

B
Buckz990 · September 9, 2026

" So you want fish and chips and chips " 😄 🤣 😂

J
J · September 9, 2026

I didn't watch this first time around and every week it's a battle for me not to just binge the rest of the series after your reaction! Still holding strong, for now anyway 😁

k
kev carroll · September 9, 2026

that scene where hes asking about the fish and chips and chips portion, is a glimpse of what corden is like in real life !

J
Julian · September 9, 2026

It’s hard to believe there was a time before the You Tube. It’s got everything: cats reacting to stuff, Americans reacting to stuff….

D
David Marriott-Hallam · September 9, 2026

As you say in your fair land... Yeeeehaaaa!

A
Andy Oliver · September 9, 2026

A little bit of context: The ex, John Prescott, who Nessa refers to (a running joke throughout the show's run) was deputy prime minister under Tony Blair. During the run up to the 2001 general election, Prescott was in Rhyl, North Wales, walking from his campaign bus to an election rally venue when a farm worker threw an egg at him, he responded with a left jab to the side of the man's face and a minor scuffle occurred. David Blunkett was a former Home Secretary under Blair and, when this episode first aired, he was Secretary for Work and Pensions. Blunkett was born blind and the "Bitch" Ness refers to would probably have been (at this time) Lucy, his guide dog. Hope that helps.

J
Jamie · September 9, 2026

Great left jab it was too

I love you guys so much. What else can I say, you make laugh, you make me smile, you always bring me up. Thank you.

P
Pip · September 9, 2026

John Prescott (known as Two Jags because he owned two Jaguar cars) was a politician, he was the Deputy Prime Minister under Tony Blair from 1997 to 2007. He punched a man who threw an egg at him in public, it was captured by TV cameras and so he was then known as Two Jabs.

G
Godders · September 9, 2026

Sorry - well done. I posted a similar comment before reading all the comments, schoolboy error.

C
Chris Carleton · September 9, 2026

Great line about Blunkett and his dry sense of humour that goes completely over your head if you don't know who he is.

K
Kieran B · September 9, 2026

David Blunkett was a blind politician, the ‘bitch’ was his guide dog…

L
Lew w · September 9, 2026

His bitch was an actual bitch 😅

B
Ben Marshall · September 9, 2026

I guess “The YouTube” was still a bit of a novelty back in 2008 😂

C
CorporalFriendlyShark · September 9, 2026

It launched to the public in late ‘05, I believe. A simpler, better time of no streamers, Youtubers or e-celebs, I miss those days 😢

C
CorporalFriendlyShark · September 9, 2026

“There’s a cracking new website, it’s called… The You Tube” YouTube was only about 2 years old at this point. This show is such a nostalgic time capsule.

D
Dave · September 9, 2026

The costumes never fail. Well worth the admission..

L
Lew w · September 9, 2026

To say I am excited for the first Christmas special of this is an understatement

C
CorporalFriendlyShark · September 9, 2026

It’s just such a brilliant, festive, feel-good piece of TV, insane that it’s nearly 20 years old, I remember watching it live 🤯 I almost think they should wait until Christmas-time to watch it, but then I don’t want the weekly reaction vids to stop until then 😂

P
Paul Brooks · September 9, 2026

Mike and Jess are having a Barn dance (said like Bryn)

C
CorporalFriendlyShark · September 9, 2026

I called the Bryn and Doris cosplays last week 😂 Seriously how quick are we rattling through this show, just one episode of Series 2 left, then onto many peoples’ favourite episode, the 2008 Christmas special ❤️

S
SKG · September 9, 2026

I always forget about todays episode. One of the weaker ones . but the series finale is great and the 08 special is a masterpiece

G
Gareth Williams · September 9, 2026

Actually watching this from South Wales this week as I’m on holiday. Not Barry, but still lush.

Z
