Love that! And Radiohead into the bargain ❤️
😂😂😂♥♥
Great show, I worked in rest homes and nursing homes both as a cleaner and a care assistant. I learned a lot from doing that and can honestly say it's some of the most rewarding work. Nice to hear some Radiohead too :)
Excellent reaction, leave happy going into alarm clock for jolly boys outing. Please deliver
Victoria is an excellent addition to the show.
My first time watching this, I’ve been watching new shows lately with some reaction channels
Okay, and? It seemed like you were going to follow that up with something
That girl's acting was incredible. It was so real. Having watched this episode, I can only conclude that those who do not like Derek, have either never actually watched it properly, or went in determined not to like it.
They are the people that get offended at everything and can't enjoy life. Basically getting offended because he plays an autistic dude. Pathetic essentially
Love this episode - I've looked after my grandchildren a few times this school holiday. They love asking questions about when their mum was little and when I was younger. We've also visited my Mum a couple of times, and she's gotten the old family photos out - they are now convinced that when their great gran and I were younger, the world and everything in it was black and white...
I miss you guys not dressing up in themed outfits as much, you should start doing this again more ❤️
Mike said he was sick give them a break jesus
Have you guys ever watched doctor who before?
As you mentioned Tropic Thunder - Steve Coogan who plays Alan Partridge played the director who was blown up by a land mine.
This reminds me of a book called If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things by Jon McGregor. I recommend it.
Victoria's story arc had me emotional, not gonna lie
The multi-layers of the show are starting to kick in, and I love the way you see and recognise each one. For many including me Derek, alongside After Life, is one of Ricky’s deepest and most thought-provoking of all his series’. I’m so pleased you’re watching this and that I can re-experience and see afresh many of the moments that moved me the first time around.
Everyone's a critic eh?
beautiful episode i cant wait for the next :O)
One of my favorite episodes, the 'Radiohead/Bones' outro lyrics fit so perfectly, gets me in the feels everytime❤️🍻
One of Ricky's favourite bands. He played them loads on XFM, including that song. He said that he bought multiple copies of The Bends album due to wearing it out from so much playing. Bones, Let Down and Sulk are his 3 favourites of theirs
When Bones by Radiohead kicks in…… what a sick beat, as the young folks say.
Tits! Bingo!
We buried my Grandad yesterday, he was 92, the ending montage with them all remembering their youth just broke me. Thank you for reacting to this show, its beautiful
Sorry for your loss xxx
That beer Kev drinks "Carlsberg Special Brew" is double strength Lager. It's 9% alcohol (by volume) compared to the standard 4-5% most beers are. Up until they changed the way alcohol was taxed it in the UK, it cost the same as a can of normal lager so was favoured by alcoholics wanting to get drunk on the cheap. You'd usually see homeless people clutching a can of it in most UK towns and cities. It tastes like anti-freeze from what i can remember from my misspent teens. It also gives you the worst hangover.
Tramps Tipple I remember it often being called
beautiful episode!
This made me cry I always used to paint my Grandma’s nails 🥹
👍👍 good morning peeps
Ricky made Extras and in this he has some of the most seasoned supporting Artists (extras) Salo the one with the sunken eyes who was asleep had been in hundreds of productions from 1963 film Summer holiday ,star wars, robin hood, harry potter to name a few and countless tv programs sadly he passed away in 2018 there's a few more in the background with a similar career
Last song is called ‘Bones’ by Radiohead. It’s from Ricky’s favourite album ‘The Bends’
Thank you Jess 🤣
Not too proud to admit I shit myself in a onesie, as an adult. The last one to take them off got 500 quid, bought myself some dignity after 40 hours of shame.
Was this event televised?
3rd ep but listed as 2nd, I might be missing something here...
The first one is listed as a pilot, so the second was ep 1 and so on.
Has Jess got new glasses? There is something different about her 🤔
I actually checked 😂
Great ending, great music 👍
Great episode. This is my first time watching Derek and Iiked that one.
In all seriousness I think all kids should be given work experience in a care home. Looking after mum has given me so much patience and empathy and funny moments too. It really does benefit someone i believe. Lizzie is exactly like my mum lol
I'm looking after my 100 yr old Mum and I'm living in Groundhog Minute but I'm fortunate that it's still very much her even if her short term memory is gone. If I was fit enough myself I'd volunteer at an old people's home because it looks like an incredibly rewarding life.
I guess I’ll get back to prepping for Tokyo opening at 1am UK time, lolly!
You won't recognise her, but the girl who plays Vicky (community service girl) is also in an episode of After Life. She plays the girl Tony interviews who is addicted to plastic surgery. She had hard tits 😅
And a minge that looked like a butchers bin 🤣🤢
As sean lock would say... that's a challenging wank 😆😆😆😆
Nice one! 🤣🤣
