Update 0.1.7 Is Almost Here – Meet Four New Faces

(And Never Again So Many at Once!)

Hello, my dearest patrons and supporters,

I’m thrilled to finally share what’s coming in Update 0.1.7 of Kingsized, releasing on September 21st! Mark that date in your diaries, because this one is going to be packed with fresh intrigue, new faces, and the kind of charged encounters you’ve come to expect from the court of Abundaria.

As you may have noticed, this update took a while. The reason? Four brand-new characters, all arriving at once. Let me introduce them.

Meet the New Arrivals

Princess Rosalind – The Sunbeam in a Cold Castle

At twenty-one, Rosalind is everything her mother is not: warm where the Queen is icy, generous where Aveline calculates, and possessed of a genuine, unshakeable optimism that fills every room she enters. She disarms ambassadors with laughter and offers of tea, never letting on that she hears every whisper behind the throne. She is her kingdom’s heart; a dangerous thing to be in a court fueled by ambition.

Yet she remains an anomaly at court in more than temperament. Where Abundarian women, and her regal mother foremost among them, boast voluptuous, bountiful figures, Rosalind is petite and lithe, delicate as a songbird among peacocks. It is an oddity that the palace whispers about, though none dare voice it in the Princess’s hearing. There may be a reason for her lack of development, a secret woven so deeply in the court that even she doesn’t suspect it...

Prince Edwin of Greykeep – The Perfectly Proper Suitor

Heir to the cold, calculating throne of Nebulon, Edwin is punctual, well-read, and utterly boring. Romance can be scheduled like a trade summit, why else would appointments exist? He arrives in Abundaria bearing educational gifts and a pocket diary full of carefully planned courtship activities.

His heart is genuine, but can a man raised on protocol and restraint survive a kingdom where passion literally empowers the crown?

Captain Garrick – The Fist of Greykeep

Where Edwin is politeness incarnate, Garrick is a blunt, battle-scarred warning. Sent by King Luther himself, this bald, gruff old soldier says little and disapproves of everything.

He views Abundaria’s colourful, magic-touched court as a tactical disaster waiting to happen. Knights prancing around with voluptuous curves unable to fit in a breastplate? Shameful, unarmoured liabilities.

Beneath that silent glare, however, is a sharp man taking careful notes for his king.

Elara – The Handmaiden with a Razor Wit

A slight, sharp-eyed shadow who moves through the palace like a rumour, Elara is Rosalind’s most trusted confidante, and her most merciless critic of pompous idiots.

She exists to skewer courtly pretension and make the princess snort in a most unladylike fashion. Her first instinct is to reduce the Courier to a punchline. His ability to parry her barbs, and his undeniable charm, might be the most dangerous thing to happen to her cynicism.

What’s Actually in 0.1.7?

Putting four new characters into one update was an ordeal (more on that in a moment), but I’m proud of what I’ve built:

• ~40 unique renders spread across three major scenes – one of which is a full-blown sex scene.

• 5 unique animation loops.

• A generous spread of side dialogue that flesh out the new faces and their agendas. A few of these will slip into update 0.1.8 to keep this release manageable, but you’ll still have plenty of new threads to pull.

A Word on the Delays

The gap between updates had a single, simple cause: four new characters at once is simply too much work. Modelling, texturing, writing distinctive voices, weaving them into the existing plot, it's too much. I won’t be doing it again. Future updates will introduce characters in smaller batches, giving each the breathing room they deserve (and me a saner schedule). Thank you for your patience while I wrestled this beast to the ground.

Looking Ahead to Update 0.1.8

With no new characters planned, 0.1.8 will zero in on our existing cast and the thickening plot. You can expect:

• A visual refresh for our Courier – it’s time our well-endowed messenger got a little glow-up.

• Deep dives with familiar faces… including a certain Grand Sorceress whose arcane curiosity may finally be satisfied.

• I might tease the next character coming further down the line – an extremely busty surprise – but that tease is a low priority until the rest of the update is safely under wraps.

I’m targeting November/December 2026 for 0.1.8, and I’ll share a firmer date as we get closer.
