Quick Update on Animations & Rendering Limitations
Hey everyone,
I wanted to give you a little behind-the-scenes update on how animations are coming along for Kingsized.
Making animations is definitely the most time-consuming part of development right now. I’ve been working on a new scene with Liana (the Queen Guard), and I put together a quick GIF showing the current state of the animation in the viewport. As you can see, it’s still very much a work in progress — you can clearly see the rig and armature while she walks down the hallway. The jiggle physics are already in there though, so you can get a rough idea of how it’ll look once it’s finished.
For the actual rendered animations, I’m using RenderStreet again. The problem is their 15-minute render time limit, so I have to lower the resolution a bit compared to the normal static images. It’s not a huge drop, but it’s the only way I can get animations to render without running into time restrictions. I’ll keep trying to improve the quality where I can.
Overall, things are moving in the right direction. I’m still aiming to include one animation per scene (mainly for the spicier moments), and I’m hoping to have more to show you soon.
Thanks for sticking with me while I figure this stuff out. I’ll have more updates as things progress!
Talk soon.
