Author's Leave Notice: Hit a Bottleneck...

Hit a Bottleneck...

This is my first book, and it’s now approaching seven million words. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but sure enough, I’ve hit a major bottleneck.

The distractions of worldly affairs, the torment of inner demons, an unsteady Dao Heart, and all the various hardships of writing have suddenly piled up all at once. Cracks have appeared in my Dao Heart, and the moment I pick up my pen to write, I get a headache.

Even immortals were once mortals; the only fear is that a mortal’s heart may not be resolute enough.

I must find a way to refine myself, overcome this bottleneck, and attempt a breakthrough. Otherwise, if things continue like this, I may exhaust my body and mind before I even finish the book.

For now, I’ll take a day off and enter seclusion. I’ll compile and reflect on all the insights I’ve gained from writing these seven million words, hoping to bring everything together into a coherent whole, achieve sudden enlightenment, break through this bottleneck, and continue pursuing the Dao and the path to immortality...

Honestly, I have raised my concerns before and, for me (I don't know if it ever happened in the last 3 months that I let the novel marinate), it's a 1st time seeing the author take 2 days back to back to relax for a bit. Just a few days ago I thought how nice it would be if the author took atleast a mandatory single day off per week (ideally, 2 days per week). At this point I'm a bit scared that the author might get truly depleted/exhausted leading to sickness. No one in the world works, or atleast shouldn't have to work, 7 days of the week every week. Even if he doesn't get sick, this kind of workaholism is the number 1 recipe for dropping his great work and an undifined hiatus.

Author should ideally take weekends and national holidays off. Enjoying and recuperating is not only good for physical health but also mental health. Well wishes to the author

Seven...seven million words?! Thats insane. Even if it were 7 million chinese characters, it would still be more than 3 million english words, which would be larger than the enitrety of lotm, Klein's story. To have maintained consistency throughout all this...it do be best for the author to take a break.
