Same issue with VAM crashing.
Everytime I run the update it crashes here is the error : roblem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: VaM_Updater.exe Problem Signature 02: 1.0.0.0 Problem Signature 03: 5b8f4407 Problem Signature 04: MHLab.PATCH Problem Signature 05: 1.0.0.0 Problem Signature 06: 5b8f42b7 Problem Signature 07: 29f Problem Signature 08: 10 Problem Signature 09: System.MissingMethodException OS Version: 6.3.9600.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: c78a Additional Information 2: c78a556c6e410df975496477ea89a144 Additional Information 3: 054c Additional Information 4: 054cbb5e7825e1fdb1a330d6056efb4f
I can't actually tell from the error what the cause is. Does the updater immediately crash, or sometime after opening it?
Can anyone help me out? I've been unable to play for over a month now. Whenever I type in a creator key it says invalid key. I ran the updater but there but be an error with the key.json file. I did tamper with it based on advice shared here as I was trying to get it to work last time.
Can you make sure you are running latest version of VaM (1.12.0.1) and then also make sure you are entering key from the latest 1.12 keys posts for your backer level? They must go together.
Im getting an error that says patch failed and to reopen launcher, not exactly sure what to do here
When the updater is done and comes up with an error select the force repair option.
It seems like the patch installed with just the existing updater. Is that the case? If so, can you clarify that in your posts, because they make it seem like you need to keep downloading newer versions of the updater in order to download the update.
Yes - same updater. Many people used direct download to get 1.12.0.0 so did not have the updater. I clarified in the post. Thanks
Fixed all my issues with 1.12. AWWSOMENESS!!
I dont comment much however I do object to this change "Play mode no longer shows laser pointers on touchpad or A/X button touch" Mainly due to how helpful it is. (especially with the rift)
This feature was only added a few days ago with the the release of 1.12 because of the revamped UI. They must have become extremely helpful very quickly. Why do you need laser pointers in Play Mode with the UI closed ? They just get in the way of the scenes immersion. They do however, reappear when you open the UI and you actually have something to point at.
Mesh.. may I join ya in a beer? Haha.. cranking one open right now.
I dont think so.
Can we use the earlier update tool?
Yes
