Male NPC poll results
A while ago I made a poll for you to vote for your favourite Female NPC (you can see the results here) and then it was turn for the Males. The results are surprising!
The undisputed winner is Jeremy, with almost 300 votes! A lot of people complained about him and his dudebro antics, but it seems you guys really like him and his player attitude! Or maybe you just have a strong case of jungle fever...
Second place is for Seymour, with 252 votes. I though he might win and he's earned a close second, being one of the most dominant and malicious characters so far. Believe me, you haven't seen anything about him yet...
Stan pulls off a surprising third place, with 209 votes! He hasn't had much content or development yet, but I guess he's that relatable nerd outcast that a lot of us can easily identify with.
The fourth place is for Perry, with 150 votes, and it's also a surprise! He's a polarizing charter, some of you like him as Ian's sidekick and some of you really hate his guts. In any case, I'm glad to see Perry's character gets you invested.
Fifth place is for Axel, with 117 votes. I though Lena's herculean and evil ex-boyfriend would made it higher on the list, especially after that steamy photoshoot from chapter 6... You'll get to see a bit more of him in Chapter 7.
Mike gets the sixth place with 62 votes. He hasn't got much character development yet, being little more than Lena's booty call, but he was generally well recieved when introduced in Chapter 5.
Wade earns the seventh place, with 49 votes. He hasn't got much going for him, either on the game or in this popularity contest. And I'm sensing many of you will take away what little he has, being Cindy the number one voted girl in the last poll...
And finally and unsurprisingly, Robert gets the last place with only 25 votes! Look at how sad he is! I always wanted him to be an unlikable character but ironically that was supposed to be his main appeal. I even re-wrote his first scenes so he wouldn't come across as too much of a douche, but at this point I'm afraid I'm the only one who enjoys writing his character into the story...
Honorable mention to Ed, who didn't make it into this poll because he has no real content yet.
I will make these polls again in the future, when the game's plot has moved forward, and we'll see if your feelings for the characters have shifted. For now, it was interesting seeing your opinions on them!

Seymour! Seymour! Seymour!....love the Guy. lol. You can tell he is just pure cunning evil. lol
The results of the survey were a surprise for Eva ! And can this affect the development of the story , and the appearance of new characters ? Some patrons want manifestation of aggression on the part of the dark forces.! So far, we only see "close relationships" purely to maintain health! Jan and Lena are not arranged in everyday life, they need money! Lena must still help the family ! By keeping the job at the restaurant-it belongs to Robert ! And if he steals money in a cafe, he will fall into the clutches of "good" Dan ! After all, there are always devils in a quiet pool! Other options are even hotter ! It's like a sweepstake, place your bets gentlemen-rely on luck !Guess what the cute author came up with!
Roberts still my favorite. So your work doesn't go unappreciated Eva. Thank you for that. Enjoying the new writing for him.
I'm looking forward to Ed turning out to be a massive stud who ends up with Ivy.
Robert is the last on my personal list as well and, stressing this is just a subjective perspective, I think the issue with Robert is that he's scum out of the gate. I mean, I think there is an interesting story there if he was kind of inverted Ian or at least had that stretch where it felt uncertain if he was a decent dude just being weird or what. But instead, you are shown that he essentially asks Lena out to talk about how in danger her job is and how he will protect her before putting the moves on Lena. Like that is just being a scumbag without even anything to build up or add a complicated layer. So it creates this situation where it is really difficult to climb back out of that hole as it's just a regular douchebag. To kind of add to my point, if the twist is supposed to be that ultimately it is actually Lena taking advantage of the dirtbag, as stated by the author above, that feels like a really heavy sell in a story. As it implies that by giving to coercion, as it directly implicit as it is here, the victim is actually gaining control.. by giving the other person exactly what they want?
Excellent point. The more I think on it, I feel a big issue with Robert is that probably all of us know a Robert, so interacting with him feels more like eye-rolling and muttering 'Oh Jesus Christ, it's that guy.' And while that is true also with Axel to a degree, at least there is a slower and more nuanced dynamic there.
It is obvious that Robert is the author's apparent failure. A character who has tons of sex scenes, very hot and beautiful, is not interesting to anyone. Lack of dominance is his main problem. Just like with Mike, we have to do everything ourselves, seduce him ourselves and offer everything ourselves. Where are the dear ones to our heart, attempts to force. Where are the dark sides of anyone?
I like the polls, but i am not sure that the right conclusions are drawn from them. When you say "but at this point I'm afraid I'm the only one who enjoys writing his character into the story..." it sounds like he is not contributing to the story quality wise or that he has no entertainment value. This is (in my opinion) very, very wrong. A well written douchebag can well be the least favorite/likable character in a story but still be one of the storys anchors. I think it is important that you write the story you have in mind (because you are actually very good at writing) and not bend it to give the favourites more screentime.
Axel's a complete douchebag.
The author came up with the characters of the story in accordance with the role that he assigned to each! Romance is the relationship of Ian and Elena ! But we want several options for the end of the story, from the happy ending to the worst! The characters will play their part through humiliation, coercion, corruption ,betrayal, and vicious passions... After all, in real life, girls give in to the arrogant pressure of such as Robert, suffer and then find comfort, for example with Stan... Therefore, we will let the author guide us through his story, and we will worry about our favorite characters! And everything will be purple!
To paraphrase the tagline from Alien vs Predator: Whoever wins... Robert lose.
I think first iteration of Robert was well written. You shouldn't even try to make him a better person imo. Look forward to seeing more of him though.
He's not a "better person" he just comes across as less of a douche, ha ha. But the fun twist in his relationship with Lena is that in the end, is Lena who's using him and not the other way around!
I honestely thought Axel would be higher, lol. He and Jeremy are my favorite male characters. Given the choice, I'd easily replace Perry and Wade with them as Ian's bros. Outside of those 2, I don't really have an opinion about the other characters. I guess I'm curious about Seymour's interaction with Ian. In my main playthrough, Lena didn't even accept his invitation, so I'm curious about what you plan to do with him in regards to Ian's professional path.
I mean it makes sense that Jeremy is on top since most people aren't too invested with Louise and he's hot and the least bad of the hot guys. If I'm honest most of the guys in this game aren't too hot beyond the physical sense. Unlike most of the female cast they don't have good personalities and I mean good in the literal sense like 4 out of 8 are actively bad people. 3 are generally homebodies and than theres Mike who we don't really know anything about other than "He has a girlfriend" and "Is a DJ".
Regarding Robert, the first impression hurt his character the most. Not only did he seem pushy, but his two-faced personality didn't win him any points. But most importantly, he's just not good nor exciting in bed. Compare him to Jeremy, who is probably equally unlikeable as a person based on the comments I read, but his involvement into the story, his player attitude/competition for Ian and the taboo factor for Lena made him the most promising character. Maybe not on his on, but how he might affect the character dynamics in the future. Same reason why Seymour and Stan climbed so high, for their corruption value for Lena's character. Perry would most likely be higher on the list if he could just restrain himself from ratting out Ian and making his life this much harder Wade and Mike are probably the nicest people of the bunch, but I guess to most people it makes them boring characters.
I voted for Stan, because it would be fucking sexy that a nerd, could score som hige quality girls!
Poor Robert! I would certainly put Perry (who I do find mildly annoying) and Wade after him
I was surprised to learn Robert used to be an even bigger douchebag than his current consent-envelope-pushing incarnation. Lena should get a Dave-level romantic love interest to balance him and the rest of the creeps surrounding her out.
That Dave-level romantic interest is Ian lol
