Female NPC poll results
A while ago I made a poll to ask you guys who was your favourite female NPC in ORS. After 1666 votes (ominous number), here are the results!
Cindy wins by landslide, with almost 500 votes, leaving everyone far, far behind!
Only Holly is somewhat close to her, but they're still apart by 105 votes.
The third place is for Ivy, but she's far behind Cindy and Holly on votes, with 233.
This three girls share the podium, and you guys seem to like them a lot more than the rest of the cast!
Alison and Emma are almost tied at the fourth and fifth place, only separated by 3 votes, and Emma had the lead over Alison for most of the duration of the poll.
Cherry and Louise are also contesting the sixth and seventh place, where Cherry edges out Louise by a few votes. She got a lot of love when she was first introduced, but her popularity doesn't come close to the winning trio.
Minerva is left in the last place, but that's hardly surprising. I was hoping she'd earn a few more points after Chapter 6, though!

If I were to pick a top three, it would likely be Holly, then Emma, and either Cherry or Louise.
I kinda get Cindy being voted so high. Throughout the pool and night-out scenes one could feel definite chemistry between her and Ian. Also she is the only one in a clear relationship and this 'forbidden fruit'. Cherry for example is at least as hot as Cindy, but is introduced more like a random bar hookup; this makes her less interesting I believe.
I don't really get Cindy being so highly voted, aside from being maybe the only blonde? At least Holly has that shy nerdy thing going for her. But Ivy and Allison are by far the hottest. Really looking forward to seeing Ivy in action, especially with Allison or even Holly :D
Louise and Emma scoring so low is probably an artifact of the single vote only setup of the poll. Not the first choice for a lot but second best for many.
Mine would be 1. Holly 2. Emma 3. Ivy 4. Louise 5. Cherry 6. Allison 7. Cindy (she's a bit of a bitch) 8(,000,000,000) Minerva. Even when she poledanced Ivy and Lena pointed out she was too old and fat (I'll be 47 myself on Jan 8.) She's also such a See You Next Tuesday.
I'm in favour of Allison, as she has (so far) the right kind of balance between brains and brawns for my preferences.
Molly's the one I'd want to see corrupted though. I know underneath that shy exterior is a sex maniac wanting out.
On the one hand yes. But on the other, I really also like a not so foreseeable developement. I mean: It shurely is nice get in the panites of every(!) girl, but also a bit unrealistic. I would even like (and hate ;) ) it if one girl would only be a platonic option. But hey, if Eva does her magic and make the chance believable, I woun't complain. In other novels, though, I often see a 180° chance of heart within 10 dialouge-lines and that feels to easy to be interesting.
Granted I haven't gotten to play Chapter 6 yet (soon!), but personally I'd rank Cindy 2nd to last and only ahead of Minerva. It is certainly interesting to see where the community ranks characters though!
being a single choice poll was inevitable a clear classification, I doubt that any of the story lines will not be explored with curiositi by all players
As someone 99% here for the Lena aspect of the story, Cindy's the only the only 'Ian character' i'm interested in at all to be honest. Though that could change, i've yet to see her new scenes, but Minerva's storyline seems like it could be intriguing too.
For me, the top three are Cindy, Holly, and Emma. I'm also surprised that Emma isn't higher.

Kinda... Holly would be last on my personal list. Besides that, the order seems to be on par with my preferences. Perhaps I'd put Minerva above Louise. Yeah, a poll with male NPCs would be cool. Did the results surprise you, Eva? Or did you expect something like that? Besides Minerva getting less votes than you predicted.
Similar poll for the male characters seems fair :)

I suspect Minerva is last purely because (at this point) she is purely an antagonist, the only side of her you have seen is her being a bossy bitch to Ian. If you want to show that there is more to her, you would probably need a scene after work (with Ian spying on her and Holly) or a scene in an outside environment, such as the Café or museum (or somewhere entirely new), and then you would need a moment of vulnerability and for her to open up. Throwing Minerva in at the pole dancing class wasn't a bad idea, but since Lena and Ivy were together (and Ivy was a bit of bitch), she wasn't able to break into the scene, not that it would have been helpful, as if you want to bring her out of antagonistic mode, you need to build something with Ian. Obviously you could use this as a basis to suck Ian into something like this, by having Lena and Minerva interact with Ian, but considering how she treats Ian (initially) it probably going to be a fairly rare (or unexplored path), which could easily be more effort than it is worth to develop.
Let's just hope this won't effect any potential Emma content coming up, would be really sad if this poll would lead to less content with her :/
I agree, you don't see a lot of her as is and I really enjoy her character.
People are sleeping on my girl Emma. If this poll was done in chapter 5 she would've scored higher. But I love them all its hard to pick
"most popular" doesn't mean that the others are unpopular, though. I mean, if you had a poll on favourite ice cream flavour I'd have to pick only one, even though I greatly enjoy other flavours!
It's mostly right (for me). I would move Ivy down, and Louise up a few spots though. Minevra is a surprise late entry, and one I'm especially pleased about :)

I think this reflects more of what’s currently unobtainable rather than actual preferences. There’s been no sex scenes with Cindy or Holly yet so they’re perceived as more desirable.
