Awesome episode. Also, love Vaughn Armstrong any time he’s in Star Trek. Coincidentally, I was watching Saved By The Bell on and off lately and got to the episode senior year where the new girl Tory shows up, and I realized that Vaughn Armstrong plays their teacher there, plus at least one more episode at that time. I figure this was probably just a couple of years before the current DS9-VOY time frame. Fun stuff! Question: We’ve seen Vaughn Armstrong play a Klingon, romulan, and cardassian so far. Not sure about anything else. If he ever comes back again, what would the TA guys like to see him as, whether good or bad character or a certain role or species? I never thought about it until now, but he might make an interesting Q. Or maybe Borg? Human? Pakled? Neelix Species Talaxian, Ferengi? lol!

I gave it an A. I remember being really affected by the kindly Romulan trying to help them out and the tragic twist at the end. Also Kate Mulgrew be acting her ass off. lol

B+ for me, solid episode but nothing that special. The techno-babble was strong in this one, lol.

A-tier for me. It's a really good episode that doesn't quite rise to the level of something unforgettable.

One of the best of the series. Agreed on S tier. But did the guys forget that they gave DS9 1x5 ‘Captive Pursuit’ an S grade also? DS9 had some solid early episodes as well. Voyager season 1 is probably better overall than DS9 season 1.

The full-length watch-a-longs are here on Patreon every week. If your talking about edited reactions for Youtube, Josh is behind on those.

Great episode, nothing to complain about

Sewing Seems So Simple. But Voyager failed to thread the eye of the needle. The episode itself however did, Super Successfully!

A good solid episode, and very much what I like Voyager to be at times. Not battling the species of the week, but battling their situation of being so far from home. And Robert Picardo is always amazing.

I loved that the expected twist of we can't go home this way was actually the twist of we might get home!

It's a low A for me. Solid episode that I really can't find fault with but it just doesn't have that extra something that would make it one of my favorites.

Fantastic episode. Absolutely love it. My only small gripe would be the excessive technobabble, but everything else about it is top notch. Easy S-tier.

I probably liked this a lot less than most. I thought it was way too early to be using the "magical shortcut home" possibility as a central story theme. It was okay, but it was so obvious that they weren't getting home less than halfway though their first season, so there was no tension. Just the certainty that the mini-wormhole won't work for whatever reason and the series will continue along as if this never happened
