So thrilled for you guys! Gates McFadden was one of the first Trek celebrities I met when I went to my first convention. I was really young, like only 23 at the time, and I think she could tell I was nervous. I had been watching her since I was 5 after all. Anyway, she took the time to talk to me and ask me about myself and completely put me at ease. It was one of the most memorable interactions I had with a Trek celeb that I've ever had. Hope she did the same for you guys.
