UNCUT - The Last of the Mohicans (1992)
We watched the THEATRICAL 112 version via Apple TV. I was not able to use that version for the visual sync, so I tried my best with that element. Details at the start of the video.
Thank you Kristopher for the 2nd year annual BRIDGE CREW membership & movie reaction request!
Spots in the BRIDGE CREW are currently SOLD OUT! Thank you everyone for the support! Plenty more movie reactions coming!

😂 I don’t think Alex even knows why he hates it he’s just like 😑 I call Chingatcgagook’s cudgel thing blue Steel!
Alex is missing that Hawkeye had no idea, or at least no certainty where the women would be taken, or that he would then have any opportunity to talk to a chief who might listen, unlike Magua who was driven by only vengeance. I mean, I've not read the book, but I've gotta say I didn't see things the way Alex did.
They probably would have killed the “boys” none of Duncan’s men made it to the Huron camp.
I think if Nathaniel stayed with them under the waterfall he would have been killed immediately. He left so he could live, then walked into the village knowing he would get a hearing instead of being killed outright.
The differences in the cuts are mostly inconsequential, but unfortunate you apparently watched it cropped from 2.39 AR to 1.78 AR for most of it. Shame on AppleTV.
A suggestion. Perhaps if you have a case where there's a bunch of different cuts of a movie and you're worried other people's versions won't match up, maybe just rent whatever version is available on YT, as basically everyone else will be able to do the same.
Will also recommend Manhunter directed by Michael Mann. It’s the first movie made from the books featuring Hannibal Lector, based on the specific book Red Dragon.
The guys hit on that the movie was based on a novel. Written by James Fenimore Cooper, it’s part of a series known as the Leatherstocking Tales, and Daniel Day Lewis’ character is the connecting thread through the books. The other four novels have mostly been forgotten in modern times, except by maybe hardcore American literature students and history nerds.
LOVE this film. Epic score, beautifully filmed etc etc. Not expecting you two to like it, or at least not Josh. It being a period piece. I hope you both do though. Right! I need to go and dig out my dvd to watch along. Might be on a box rather than on a shelf. Time to rummage. Potentially with a drink in hand… *in
My god.. this soundtrack. I saw this in the cinema 3 times. What a movie.
In Alice's defense for jumping when she could have waited 90 seconds, all the slow motion in her close-ups probably made it feel like an eternity for her.
She would have been used against them as a hostage or a shield.
This is one of the greatest films ever made with one of the most stunning soundtracks in movie history. Am I going to be angry if I watch this reaction?
Alex wasn't into it. Josh liked it though.
Glad you guys reviewed this. I always enjoyed this movie a lot... but I'm a history nerd. It was one of my Mom's favorites and I hadn't seen it in many years. Pleasure watching it with you guys.
Alex really needs to do minimum research instead of getting angry at things he does not understand
I don't know. I found it pretty entertaining how they leaned into their ignorance.
Best original score ever.
You must see Thief and Heat. If you're looking for an excuse, I can give you one (though I'm not a Bridgecrew member).
They were faithful to the novel with regards to Hawkeye being a white man and not truly a Native American.
The Marvel character Hawkeye takes his name from this literary character.
And Benjamin Franklin Pierce.
I fucking love this movie
I seen this in the theater, and didn't expect much, but I thought it was incredible. It does drag a little from time to time, but it's still one of my favorites
The best thing about this film was the epic soundtrack.
Absolutely, epic soundtrack.
