Can we get a season 3 part 2 part 2 cinematic trailer for the final episodes this one was wicked.
Mark down ep 20!
Great work. I've watched this three times already. Haha. 😂
Josh, will both X-Files episodes (E.B.E & Miracle Man) post to YT this Friday?
No
I think most of us that have been watching your reactions have been excited for you to get to this point in the show
Lol these episodes have been great, but they're still nothing compared to what's to come. The trailers you're gonna be making for the later seasons are gonna really be something!
Love this!!!
"You see guys now THIS is where DS9 really..." Really glad this one lands with you guys. The trailer is badass!
There's a reason i don't give less than B for any episode of Season 3. It's one of my favourite DS9 seasons.
Where do you find these epic trailer scores lol
YouTube
Oooh, I hope this means you liked Visionary. The episodes about Sisko as The Emissary are always underrated (on IMDB anyway). Edit: Whoops, meant Destiny. And see you gave it a C. Oh well.
C is a positive grade
Does having to scour more episodes (and a lot more footage) for good shots make this more difficult to put together than a single-episode trailer, or did you already have in mind the shots you wanted to use? Do you have "editor brain" when you watch an episode for the first time and immediately think "okay, I'm going to use that shot for a trailer later" and mentally file that away?
In general more footage available is a good thing. As far as thinking about making a trailer during, no I usually am focused on my enjoyment, but once in a while a specific fire pen moment will definitely inspire a trailer such as “Terrorists don’t get to be heroes” from Kira in Defiant
Bravo, guys! That was epic!
WOOF! Without getting TOO political; that last exchange, right now?! OUCH!
Best trailer yet! Damn near brought me to tears...
I'd say Heart of Stone was the Yesterday's Enterprise / The Offspring moment for DS9 (where the show truly "Arrives"), but the first 10 episodes of DS9 S3 were quite good also. But TNG season 3's first half was still way more hits than misses (The Defector, The Bonding, The Enemy, Deja Q), so the arc of quality of DS9 and TNG are actually remarkably similar for the first 3 seasons. Voyager is the first show to truly break the pattern TNG began with.
Life Support/Heart of Stone being Yesterday’s Enterprise/The Offspring is very fair
So, I see most of the episodes in here but I think a few episodes didn't get represented maybe? I assume they are crying because of the events in Season 3 Episode 13. Their fave character's life was on the line. Great episode and a great redemption arc for him. One of my fave Louise Fletcher episodes so far in the show. I really like the last episode of the season but it only got a single scene in the DS9 ready room for this trailer. The DS9 has balls scene likely came from Season 3 Episode 16 though. The Grand Nagus goes woke as these guys would say LOL. I'm a little surprised that Aron's favourite scene with Avery didn't make the trailer. Can you decipher the lies from the truth? Let's find out, next time on DS9 Beyond Belief.
This includes scenes from episodes 13-17, which is what we have watched so far. Nothing from the final episode.
First dip into a multi- episode trailer I believe. Nicely done!
The Circle arc and TNG Season 6 would be the others
Omg. Awesome work. Love those two short clips showing both Alex and Josh in tears. Superbly done!
I know you're not gonna do as many cinematic trailers, so this was a really cool way of paying homage to a lot of great episodes in one. Glory to you and your house
Odo being in love with Kira is the 1st major misstep of the show. Close friends and confidants makes sense. Both have been traumatised. Both endured the Cardassian occupation. Both have a tendency to reactivity and extremism. That creates a bond. Now you're going to have to read between the lines here, but I'm in the very best of imaginable company in being opposed to anything more between them.
I disagree. Odo deserves to feel love even if it's unrequited. It makes things more challenging for him as he grows and becomes his own person away from the Great Link. He is experiencing these things for the first time, he doesn't know what to do with his emotions. Loving Kira makes a lot of sense IMO.
Dax: “And as the 34th Rule of Target Audience states, positive reactions are good for engagement.” Quark: “That's the 35th rule.” Dax: “Oh, that's right. What's the 34th?” Quark: “Negative reactions are good for engagement. It's easy to get them confused.”
This should be a poster on their reaction room. Or a T-shirt.
Oh, how much I love DS9!!!
This show is just cohesive and fantastic. Some of the best serialisation ever and part of that is precisely because it is partially episodic so it gives time for the story to breathe.
This is great! Loved the intercuts with yourselves. Glad you two are enjoying DS9 as much as we have all those years ago. Really great to see them again, this time, with fresh enthusiasm.
Ooh, and based on this, you've already seen S3E17. Really hope Alex enjoyed the heavy amount of the Chief in that one.
Can't wait to see "DS9 Arrives (Season 3 Part 3)" and also "DS9 Arrives (Season 4 Part 1)"
By arrives they mean climax. DS9 is DTF.
I often get Rule 34 confused too, Quark.
Jesus. This may be the best one yet.
Still waiting patiently for peak DS9
The best is yet to come!
All we need is one episode to hit them as hard as "Lessons," did and I think this could end up being their favourite season of Star Trek ever!
FYI, DS9 is a station. Things arrive at it.
The station isn't going to blow up
Perfection, I like episodes 17 and 18 a lot
You've got some clips in there from episodes I'm really (HUGELY) excited about. If I have my timing right, S3E17 is Alex's birthday episode? What a perfect birthday gift.
If you can find it, Armin Shimmerman actually wrote a DS9 Novel that takes place sometime in Season Three, I want to say. The novel is titled, "The 34th Rule." Just in case you ever have some downtime and are curious for a DS9 story written by Quark himself.
I love DS9 and love these trailers. If you love Season 3 this much I am so hyped for the rest of the series!
I swear... I will never get tired of these. You manage to hit it out of the park every time. You've got skillz, dude.
Excellently done -- based on the scenes in the trailer, I'm looking forward to DS9 3X17 and 3x18 :)
I think the trailer goes only up to 17, no?
Those better be real tears, Alex and Josh!
Awesome 🙌 looking forward to the Visionary reaction!
