This is the first DS9 episode I really LOVED, but I always had the feeling you guys wouldn't like it much. Hopefully this means I was wrong! I can't wait to watch your uncut reaction!

An episode I love

Dukat elevates a fairly good episode into a delightful one. He is nasty, he has blood on his hands, but that vipers grin and his having so much fun with a little minor torture… why is it so entertaining to watch him?

This is actually my favorite season 3 episode

Wow. Very exciting. Like an artistic, better version of the old TNG promos, with the attendant number of spoilers.

This is a great season one episode done great in season three.

Ragebait comment: Attention Bajoran workers- Pink Floyd is better than the over-rated Beatles just like any other 90s band is better than the over-rated Radiohead. That is all! Dukat, turns up the volume on his copy of Animals and smirks...riot ensues in the comments and laser is engaged...

This episode does a great job of showing what working on that occupation ore mine really was like- being vaporized if you speak up, constant surveillance- without being a flashback showing atrocities... It conveys that lore while showing off a Dukat vs Garak battle as a subplot within a traditional can O'Brien the engineer technobabble the system in an overall "the crew is in peril plot" where we expect everyone to live and suspense is hard- we DO worry who might get killed...

I've watched this too many times now. RIP that bajoran redshirt, damn...

I'm hoping you guys like this one. This is my comfort DS9 episode. The one that I can just throw on for something light, exciting, and funny at times.

You know what? We're being spoiled with these trailers! I'm even logging in a day before early access just to see them!

Obsidian Order clearly scrubbed all shots of Garak from this trailer! (Very curious to see if you guys assumed Dukat was just relegated to the on-screen recordings and if you were as shocked as I remember being when he beamed into Ops. One of the few times an on-screen credit does not actually ruin a surprise appearance.)

This was (for me at least) a nice variation on the disaster episode. If a show is gong to default to this stock story-type, then Civil Defence at least makes use of the characters to add flavour to it (especially Dukot).

Civil Defense - "What are you doing here?!?" --- "I think it is time to establish a permanent Cardassian presence aboard this station" - "I will destroy this station before I ever give it back to the Cardassians!"

Never realized how much this episode was screaming for a ‘90s alternative soundtrack. Wish they’d leaned into that at the time. Sisko slams his hands down on the desk: “Despite all my rage, I’m STILL just…” Fantastic trailer, as always. 🔥

Excellent... If you guys want to do a couple "different" cinematic trailers... how about an actual ad for your channel? Show 3 minutes of clips of your best reactions with some awesome background music. Also mix in some of your improv segments. Plus, ad a new segment... a voiceover... "They told us.... it would change our lives ... give it meaning. ... But we never expected... it to .... be .... like ... this!" Then quick clips of the show and your reactions to key moments. Then end with when Josh asks Alex.. "Are you crying?" Just some ideas. Oh and also trailers for the best of TOS and TNG.

I love that the episode is almost written like a comedy, how the stakes get even more ridiculous and over the top as it goes on. Mark Alaimo is always great, but there's something special about his performance in this one.
