I wouldn't be surprised if Lewis Pullman studied Brad Dourif's role in this episode for the portrayal of Bob in Thunderbolts*.

This is my favorite episode of season 1! I can't wait for this one. Brad Dourif is amazing in this. You did a great job with this trailer Josh, I'm really sorry about your father. He raised a great son, so I'm sure he was a great man.

FANTASTIC trailer. You were killing it with Star Trek trailers, I had no doubt X-Files trailers would be good fun too. Only critique -- I do love Don Davis (and genre audiences at the time would have known him from his work in Twin Peaks), and think he deserves a trailer credit too, even though he's not in THAT much of the episode.
I wanted to, but I used all of his scenes already in the trailer, would need to re-use shots which I’m not really a fan of.
Haven't watched this since I was a teenager but I'm bracing for it to hit hard now in ways it didn't at the time.
this is the one i've been waiting for. Brad Dourif once said this role almost killed him - referring to the high emotional intensity it demanded of him. would have also been cool to end the trailer on a black screen no music... just Boggs singing "Somewhere... beyond the sea"
Just superb. Now I'm really stoked to re-watch this classic X-Files episode. Nicely done!

The first time I saw this episode I didn’t really like it. I didn’t know why at the time. I saw it in the middle of the third season at a Christmas break and it felt very out of place to what I had seen around it and once I learned that it was a first season episode made total sense. I liked it as I’ve seen it in context later. Sometimes timing is everything
I was much too young to appreciate this episode, I just wanted to see monsters and aliens lol
