Holy Shit... Your trailer game is S-Tier. By the end of the trailer I had tears in my eyes. I have been a trekkie as long as I can remember and have watched every show in the Franchise, but I grew up with TNG and it will always have a special place in my heart.
This trailer vid just like the actual season finally has a bitter sweet feeling that could never live to how you actually feel ever because you just don't want it to end.
Wow, incredible trailer. Hits all the feels.
when this aired it was the best roy of television i had ever seen. it’s been legendary ever since
1:22 Had to get that Ensign Gates shot in there.
lol
My 5th time rewatching this trailer cause its that good, clocking my shift in.
The only other ending to a show that hit me like this one was "Serenity". You can still feel the loss and pain of the ending. It's as if you are saying goodbye to family. This show got a lot of us through rough childhoods, teaching us to see issues from a new perspective. Giving us role models "worth" following. I still miss this show and the type of characters and relationships that lived with in it.
When will this trailer be available on YouTube? I'd like to show it to my friends.
This post is public. You can share this link, anyone can watch it. It will be on YouTube closer to the release of the edited reaction as usual.
Damn, this was great. So glad you enjoyed TNG. It is my 2nd favorite Trek series, and one of my top 20 shows of all time
It's been a long road getting from Farpoint to here, but All Good Things must come to an end.
can’t believe i watched all of these with you from tos
Awww this was so fucking well done. It has been such a joy seeing my fave show get appreciated by a new generation (no pun intended ha). I can't wait to get your guys' take on the finale.
What a beautiful trailer you put up there catching all the moments and feels of that send off to movie land. Sidenote, now I need some tissues.
Another excellent trailer. Can't wait to watch your reaction to All Good Things. Thanks, Guys.
😢 Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened 😄. Beautiful trailer. I wish something like this was put together before the finale aired—but, I take an awesome tribute in its place.
This is fantastic. Goosebumps. As a professional trailer editor myself, I am really digging your Cinematic Trailers. Can’t wait to see more when you get deeper into Deep Space Nine (no pun intended).
Hold up. How you get that job?
Great show, great finale. I personally prefer B5's Sleeping In Light as the best Series Finale I can think of, but its pretty good. Definitely was nice to see Obrien and Tasha incorporated.
Amazing! And may I say, I think as we get older, we all feel a bit more like old confused irumodic syndrome Picard
This was great!!!
Aren't names in the credits subject to the rules of the Actors guild? Like you don't credit someone as required you get sued?
Damn it... y'all got me teary eyed...
Well done, guys.
Now you guys can just watch random TNG episodes in the background whenever you want!
Which is, obviously, ALL THE TIME
Did we or did we tell you not it's the greatest TV show (network) ever made?
My only problem with the TNG finale is that it overshadows the DS9 season 2 finale, which I think is actually better.
High praise!
And thank you Josh and Alex for allowing us to experience the journey again. It’s been a great ride.
Wonderful job. Okay, let’s crank it back and watch the whole show again!
You guys have a gift for this. Well done! :)
Love this trailer. Can’t wait to watch your reaction. Thank you for taking us with you on the journey
First time commenter...WOW! NOW you got me in tears. Thanks, Guys! What a journey...we still have to go. ;)
It is us who thank you for taking the journey.
Kind of incredible. This is it. That's all there is. Experiencing it with you (so to speak) has been like experiencing it for the first time, something I never got to do myself. Now it's wrapping up and I feel much like I imagine audiences did in 1994. Glad to have been a patron, here's to two and a half more classic shows!
Congratulations! You FINALLY got to the point that TNG truly becomes TNG. Lol!
🥹 This is so sweet! What a nice touch to include the Patrons. A goodbye to the show and the TA journey. ❤️
This might be the best one you’ve done.
Alex: “I mean, it’s good, but can we possibly get more Ensign Gates?”
I thought of Alex when I saw her pop up in the trailer. lol. That was for him, wasn’t it?
Such a lovely touch having the patron takes be the review quotes for the episode :) Oh... I think I have something in my eye. Don't mind me.
Wow. Simply awesome. The perfect trailer for a flawless series finale. Brought tears to my eyes. Great work, guys. Thank you.
I started watching Star Trek with my father. TNG was our Star Trek. We didn't agree on a lot of things but we both loved Star Trek. He killed himself in 2019. Ever since then watching Star Trek has become even more special to me. This literally just killed me for some reason. Thats how grief works sometimes though.
Condolences for your father
wow - i was thinking how amazing it is we are at this point - seems like we just started the journey of Star Trek - this trailer reminds me of how i felt at the time, we were devastated to see the last TNG, it was such an important part of life and hope - today we need the hope, and i see some now - thanks TA love your work
Perfect 👌
🥺 Holding back the tears cuz you guys fucked me up at work with this! Thank you Target Audience for taking us on your journey through time & space. 🖖
😭 beautiful guys!
If I teared up for this I am going to be fucked when I watch the reaction. Damn it.
Based on this trailer, I'm assuming you guys feel the same way all of us do about this series finale. I'll for sure pay the extra 5$ to watch it on Sunday. Glad I was on this adventure with you guys since Encounter at Farpoint. Looking forward to continue watching DS9 with both of you.
The purchase price will be $10 since it’s a double episode.
And now I'm wondering what kindof of TNG retrospectives you'll have. This is the end of a era, truly. Yeah yeah, there are the movies that you'll get to eventually, but nothing is the same as just sitting down each week with your dear TNG bridge crew. So you'll have to have some sort of sendoff in addition to the S7 tier list.
I'm getting misty-eyed already.
Congrats. Thankfully, there is still plenty of GOOD Star Trek that awaits.
Have you boys recovered from the emotions of this episode yet? So many feels!!!
The trial never ends, but the adventure continues along with it - the sky's the limit...
This makes me actually excited to see the episode again. Hoping this next viewing makes me like it more.
I can't believe I missed the Patron Takes on this. I've been keeping an eye out for the episode and it slipped right past me. But, it was the best Series finale ever, and close to the best episode. Which ofcourse means they thought it was OK. lol Judging from the trailer you created, it appears you liked it. That trailer looks like it was made with love. It's been a heck of a journey getting to this point. But, as Q says "The journey never ends'.
I'd have been shocked if they didn't like it. It's one of the best episodes of the series.
Goosebump Flush of the skin, & the tears started to come .., Gentlemen - I salute you - definately 90 minutes of some of my Favorite Television of All Time.., Back when it was Free to Air Networks & we had to wait for it !! I wish I could take you back with me, back in time to the Hall of my 400 strong 'West Trek' Star trek fan Club members, whom all assembled to watch 'All Good Things' together in Perth Western Australia, soon after it Aired in the States. The VHS Tape being flown 1/2 way around the world, so we could all travel into my Home City & share this masterpiece together on a Warm Summers Friday evening. Just .... MAGIC ! "Five card stud, nothing wild. And the sky's the limit..." JLP & Crew..., we salute you
Somehow your editing managed to achieve the impossible and improve on John de Lancie's already impeccable dramatic timing and delivery.
This is absolutely brilliant! Thanks for all your hard work in putting these trailers together. Can't wait for the reaction!
Damn it, who’s chopping onions again? Beautiful trailer for an incredible ending to the best TV show ever made (fight me, DS9 people). Adding the quotes was 😘👌
I always found it notable that I'm pretty sure they placed Picard in the past on the Enterprise before arriving at Farpoint because Frakes is the one cast member who could in no way pull off playing himself 7 years younger. He just looks too different. ("A little more seasoned," as Deanna would so delicately put it.)
-Matchstick, absolutely right. They also couldn't shave him as they were about to film 'Generations', so they repurposed stock footage of him in the jungle on "The Arsenal of Freedom" for his comm call with Early Picard 👍🏼
I didn't need to ugly cry at work but here we are...
Thank you for my morning cry. 🥰 You know guys, I have enjoyed this journey so much and look forward to your reactions every bit as much now as I used to enjoy episodic TV back in the '80s and '90s. YOU are now my Dallas and Knots Landing and Dynasty.
I've seen this episode countless times, and yet somehow this wonderful trailer made me feel excited to see it as if I had never before. It's been a joy to be on this journey with you gentlemen.
Adding the quotes in was pretty cool.
Fantastic trailer. Incredible job putting this together. Had this been the trailer used for the series finale by paramount, Trekkies would have gone beserk. The hype would have been unreal. Send this to whoever heads up Star Trek nowadays, they should hire you on the spot to help with new programs. You guys are great additions to the Star trek family and have done a masterful job so far with so much more to go. Amazing work!!!!
I agree with this. Target Audience should have a job working with future Star Trek shows.
Fun fact regarding Ensign Gates - she competes in two seasons of “The Amazing Race” reality series - and wins at least one of her seasons!
And her fellow helm officer Ensign Rager competed in Rat Race!
TEARS 🥲
Should have used one of the detractor's reviews during the review montage. Throwing in a "It's fine" at the end would have been great. (Great trailer, as usual.)
It's amazing the Q stuff you used was cut from the syndicated two part version
Incredible
This has made me realise two new things; 1) All Good Things was the first TNG movie 2) Tasha Yar was brought back again only to have a second meaningless death. I still find it jarring that they didn’t restore the season 1 bridge with wood panels for the flashbacks. They only changed the captain’s chair because the wooden flaps were so heavy they kept breaking the hinges off.
I would guess that they didn't have the props and were out of money. You could head cannon it as it all being in Picard's head. That's probably why Worf looks so different and Yar is wearing a wig.
Wow, just wow. 👌🏼
ENSIGN FUCKING GATES
People, I enjoy this finale, but it is Stewart's performance rather than the writing that holds it together. A big step up from season 7's typical quality. Best TV show finale ever? No. The right tone? Yes. Don't allow emotion to cloud objectivity. It has flaws. It is still an enjoyable experience in spite of them.
There is no objectivity in art.
Got me in the feels with this one. I was a heartbroken 12 year old watching this episode, but yeah, it’s a great send off for the TNG crew.
I was 6... I remember the Viewers Choice Marathon they aired with fan pick episodes right before. Relics, Yesterdays Enterprise, The Inner Light, and The Best Of Both Worlds.
Watched it 3 times now, still got goosebumps
Bravo! Your best one yet!
This trailer seems to have gotten the most comments in the shortest amount of time.
ALL GOOD THINGS does for ENCOUNTER AT FARPOINT, what DOCTOR SLEEP does for THE SHINING. Elements from the earlier one have new light.
Encounter at Farpoint to The Shining comparison is diabolical 💀 but I see the point
Without a doubt, your best trailer yet, my friend! It elicited one hell of an emotional response! God, how I love and miss the Enterprise-D family! Thank you both for loving Picard, Riker, Data, Crusher, Worf, Troi and La Forge as I do! 🖖😭
My neural pathways have become accustomed to their sensory input patterns 😢
A perfect ending for TNG. Wish a lot of it wasn’t tarnished by post 2017 events
It will always exist as it was at this point of time. I feel the same way reading older X-Men comics. :-D
I wish I could download the version of the episode you guys watched. Because I know my sync is going to be way off.
Somebody didn’t sleep last night. Magnificent trailer, now go get some rest, Doctors orders!
This is what Star Trek is about, not technobabble and anomalies of the week, but the vast unexplored condition of man
Cool anomalies do help though
It feels surreal that we're already here... time is that persistent river we can't escape from. But the moments we experience riding down it, makes any destination worthwhile. Glad to be a part of it with all of you again!
Time... What is this?
Can’t wait for your full reaction
Fantastic work as always with these cinematic trailers, and here's to the finest crew in the fleet!
Farpoint, Best of Both Worlds, and All Good Things, place the same in my heart as Star Trek movies 1, 2 and 3. All good things may be my favorite of all time. Remember, you evolved from a puddle of goo! 😂
it was the end of a era, thankfully there was more trek to take the void, but nothing was as good as TNG made me feel
I was thinking your YT edit of this episode should start out with clips of Josh and Alex reacting to all great moments of TNG and end with you sitting down to watch "All Good Things" (music bed required of Corse) But this journey doesn't end either.
What a perfect trailer for a perfect finale! Well done! And the patreon takes as critics reviews! Awesome! Perfect! Masterfull done!
If you could see the top of my forearm right now: literal goose bumps. In all my years as a Trekkie, I’ve never seen so much love for Star Trek expressed as perfectly like I have in this trailer. You’ve outdone yourself, my friend.
Love it 👍
Awesome!.........but we've still got Preemptive Strike coming, first right?
I’ve had a Jenny Johnson painting print of the poker game in my office for a few years now. Something that you guys might consider adding to the set decor every time you wrap a series.
It's good to have a literal god as a friend when the shit goes down
FEELS TRAIN hitting hard on track nine! ALL ABOARD!
Damn near brought a tear to my eye this Wednesday morning
Looking forward to seeing your reaction. I’ve been shouting out about the series finale for months.
It’s a little melancholy and serendipitous that the news of Patrick Stewart retiring dropped this week.
You should make one for The Man Trap, the one that started it all
Oh man!!!
Man, these are so epic. Please don't stop making them. Anytime you feel compelled to make one, please do.
All good things must come to an End. :(
Could be your best trailer yet, super nice touch adding some patreon takes, means a lot to us fans
Best one yet, guys. Thank you.
"Goodbye, Jean-Luc. I'm gonna miss you. You had such potential. But then again, all good things must come to an end."
stopppp 😭😭
To use a quote you guys often state after great episodes: "I got a bit emotional there", which actually is an understatement right now ... I don't want TNG to end, but if it has to end this is a great send off. I started watching your reactions on YT, saw that you guys are really serious about the ST journey and embarked with you (on Patreon) to once again boldly go where no man has gone before and I am here for it "All the way to the [ST] end"
This is so good, it's almost enough to get me to like that song...
Very nice.
Let me say it again louder for those in the back: *Overrated*
Blasphemy
Man, it feels like it was only yesterday you guys were starting season 1 and everyone was telling you to hang in there until we get to the good stuff! Now here we are, the end of an era. "All Good Things..." still stands as one of the finest finales to a TV series ever made. I cried when the final credits rolled and it sank in that I wouldn't be seeing these characters every week ever again.
There should be a YouTube reaction channel just for these trailers
At least a playlist under the channel (please!)
I imagine these are a pain in the butt to do, but thanks TA for doing these. I don't know if they get much viewership or provide any tangible return, but it's appreciated.
They don’t get a ton of views but it’s literally my favorite thing to do.
Ok. My eyes might have leaked as I watched trailer. Damnit Jim.
Shows over. "it's dead Jim" -Bones
Who TF decided we needed to cry BEFORE the reaction even started?!
Didn't think a star trek trailer would make me cry, but here we are.
Glad to see Ensign Gates🙂
🫡
Now that's a trailer!
Special appearance by Ensign Gates.
Ensign Gates is the key to all of this.
My nipples could cut glass right now. edit: I hope that wasn't too inappropriate.
I'm a hot little potato right now
