It's an "S" for me. Third best episode of the season, which has two other "S" tiers IMO.
Well worthy low S from me, but still S.
S all the way.
B-
A for me.
S for me… one that stuck with me all these years and as a young man taught me the value of always doing the right thing… and as an adult, John Locke seals the “S” for me… terry oquinn was so good
Bit of a spoiler at the end there.
A+. Another Awful Admiral Arrives Aboard. As Always, Aforementioned A$$h0le Amazes All, Avoiding Answers And Arrogantly Abandoning Alien Adversaries' Agreement. I say Locke up this Badmiral!
Gives some great background into Ryker, as to why he wouldn't let a Captain beam down on an away mission he deemed would put him at risk, because Ryker had made a mistake supporting Pressman that cost Starfleet lives at the start of his career!
low S but still an S given the acting AND writing- there are better TNG episodes where the outcome is less clear based on the circumstances of the dilemma which would have given it a stronger S
Always fun seeing the one who owns a part like this guest actor. Without violation of spoiler rule Starfleet or Target Audience Command glad this episode wasn't any later in the season. S- Both Johnathan and Patrick shine bright! Warp 5 or higher 😏🖖
Absolute s tier. The struggles of the chain of command are real here, and makes for a fantastic episode.
It's not a bad episode, but it feels a bit forced. I gave it a solid B, and I'm rather surprised that, at this point, with 93 votes, that's the lowest rating anybody's given it (with 91% rating it higher).
High A, almost an S.
It’s absolutely smashing
Season 7 is like an late career ball player, he doesn't have the same peaks or game to game consistance, but on any given day he can hit the leather off the ball
Yes. Its a very hit/miss season. But when they hit, they're bangers.
One of my favorite TNG episodes. I’ll occasionally come back to watch this one and the series finale.
I had to go A-Tier because of the weird disconnect that happens with Riker. He is hamstrung by the writing forcing him to keep Picard in the dark. It doesn't feel natural for the character. He's never been above disobeying orders for the captain in the past. Other than that, excellent episode.
Fair. I always thought though that the conflict between Riker and Picard brought it to a new level, and was something we haven't seen before, which provided some freshness. But yeah, its at least an A.
