March E-book Freebie - Smart Sewing with Cotton Bags

For this month's e-book freebie, I wanted to share with you this sweet little booklet from the 1950s.

I've been working a lot in my garden this month and I've been practicing reusing and repurposing older items out there instead of buying new ones. 

This sewing advertisement and home reference booklet is titled Smart Sewing with Cotton Bags. The booklet is 23 pages of beautifully illustrated fashions from the era, advertising Simplicity patterns that can be sewn using cotton scraps, cotton feed sack bags, and others.

There are fashions for women, young teens, and a few young girls as well as small articles on sewing with bags, cutting, embellishing, sewing circles, group sewing for a cause etc.

NOTE: the booklet does not contain actual sewing patterns, only illustrations.

Each page of this ebook has been scanned in high-quality 300 dpi and then digitally cleaned and restored for better viewing.
