Hey Everyone!!

Growing up in a rural farm community, I'm no stranger to seeing Deer grazing in the fields and woods. It was always a thrill to spot a big buck, with a crown of antlers, standing proud amongst it's family. It was a lot of fun to tap into those childhood memories with this design.

Check out a quick Demo Video!

I hope you like it!
Matt

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:

  • Body: Print in place (see assembly diagram in included PDF guide)

  • Heads (Buck and Doe): Snap-fit to Neck using Connector Head. There is a small custom brim around the head to help with adhesion. Remove and discard it after printing

  • Neck: Snap-fit to Body using Connector Neck. There is a small custom brim around the neck to help with adhesion. Remove and discard it after printing.

  • Tail: Snap-fit to Body

  • Legs Front and Rear Lf & Rt: Snap-fit to Body using Connector Legs

  • Connector Head (x1): Use to connect the heads to the neck.

  • Connector Neck (x1): Use to connect the neck to the body.

  • Connector Legs (x4): Use to connect the Legs to the body.

  • “AllParts” STLs: All parts pre-arranged in one file.

  • Multicolor 3MFs: Compatible with PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Orca based slicers
(for Orca based slicers… it's often better to use File>Import rather than Open Project, so that it doesn't import any printer specific presets/settings.)

  • Tool_ConnectorHelper: Simple tool to aid in inserting connector pins (see video)

  • No supports

  • 10%-15% Infill (I recommend Gyroid, Crosshatch or 3D Honeycomb)

  • 3 Walls. (Assuming 0.4mm nozzle. Adjust wall count to account for alternate nozzle sizes)

  • This should generally scale down to about 75% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer.  Your mileage may vary.

In picture 8 the doe is shorter than the buck. Was this an earlier draft or did you print in 2 sizes?

M
MatMire Makes · September 19, 2026

I printed the doe at 90%

Curious if you're going to make a magnetic deer head for the fridges

PLEASE go back to making the legs like the ones used for the cow etc. The little connectors let it come apart to easily. Get better prints when we only have to put on the heads

J
JJ · August 23, 2026

PLEASE ASSIST on making this larger so it prints both at 6" and at 8-9". I have all my wildlife at these sizes but can't figure this one out since it's all in pieces.

Hello, just a question so if I joined your Patreon today, these are not included in what I would be allowed to download correct? It’s only two models a month one public one non-public in the current month is that correct?

M
MatMire Makes · August 15, 2026

Need a true American Elk- Say a 4x5 rack

M
Millyissa · July 27, 2026

Just came off the printer and looks great! The one thing I'd change is the tail isn't quite flexible enough to stick straight up. If you've ever startled a whitetail, you know what I'm talking about.
