Consider this. The fact that you paused the subscription alone is such a big fucking green flag for me that I will continue to support you whether or not it takes three days or three months. The fact of the matter is you have considerably more integrity than Micah ever could, and while I have been curious about what was going on regarding the developement end, now that we have the full picture I doubt anyone is going to fault you for it or pull their support. You have been working so hard, and that much is palpable in the way you have written the past few updates. Thats something that people can inherently understand and respect, and the way you have been handling it shows the depth of your character as a person far greater than you might initially realize. I mean, shit. You are offering refunds. Not even just offering, put preemptively providing the details to recieve said refunds. Thats huge, and I personally hold a lot of respect for you because of that. Keep your chin up, brother. This is just a setback, nothing more. Keep being true to yourself and honest, and we will happily support you along the way.

That plugin was the destruction, right? Rip it out for now, if at all possible and see if cursor can come up with something. Feed it the thoughts you had while you helped designing it with micah. Or maybe leave the ripping out to cursor and ask it to replace it with something. Sometimes the AI can find something thats already ready made and can replace that module without too much work. If not, start small... it does not need to be as great as before right at the start, things can get better.

I’ve only been in this group for a couple of days—what’s the issue with continuing to use the plugin? Does the author forbid using it for this game, or is it expensive?

Wouldnt it be easier removing the plugin instead of making a whole new game?

Aw what the hell. So even though you're the owner of the project, you can't sell it or have it as a benefit here... yet they're allowed to hijack ownership and reap EGS/steam payments?? And you get nothing aside from people here?? Publish it anyways. That plugin is packaged into your game files, right? They're selling your entire work, not just the plugin. Micah shouldn't get all the benefits and you none. They can't publish your IP, let alone profit off it (unless it was in that contract). Send a DMCA request to Steam and EGS to get it delisted and/or frozen until you can get it figured out.
