City Girls is my upcoming Sims 4 gameplay series centered around friendship, growth, and "figuring it all out" in your twenties. In today's post, we're looking at the four starting characters featured in this series. As the story progresses, the group will gain new members, dynamics will shift, and friendships may change for the better...or worse. But for now, here's who we'll be meeting in episode one! 👇

Adriana de Luca

Age: 25 ✧ Sign: Taurus ✧ Born: San Myshuno ✧ Job: Bartender, Parking Lot Attendent

The confident, party-loving, and hot tempered Adriana de Luca is a San Myshuno native who had a privileged childhood until her father's mistakes burned all of it to the ground and forced them to move to Newcrest. "It's a long story," is all she'll say about it if you ask, but following a string of bad jobs, bad decisions, and bad relationships, Adriana is at last back in the city and ready for a fresh start...if only she could stop thinking about her ex. 🙄 That's her problem: she's always found purpose in taking care of everyone else—her mom, her nonna, her lovers—but now that she's on a new path, there's no one for her to hide behind, and she finds herself sitting alone with the one question she's been avoiding her whole life: who is she, and what does she want?

Elle "Electric" Emmons

Age: 25 ✧ Sign: Leo ✧ Born: Newcrest ✧ Job: Marketing Coordinator

Adriana's best friend, Elle is the reason they're both starting over in the city. Trapped by family expectations and a long-term relationship in Newcrest, Elle has discovered freedom in the city—and has sworn to herself (and to everyone) that she'll never be locked down by love again. During the day, she's the hard-working Marketing Coordinator who's juggling everyone else's demands, but at night, she transforms into "Electric Emmons," underground DJ who's chasing her own dream one penny-paying gig at a time. From the outside-looking-in, it’s starting to come together for her, but is it ambition making Elle burn the candle at both ends, or is it the fear that her family was right about her?

Marlowe Graham

Age: 28 ✧ Sign: Cancer ✧ Born: San Myshuno ✧ Job: Personal Trainer

Where everyone else in the group is full of personality, Marlowe is the type who listens more than he talks. People might side-step the intimidating muscles and tattoos, but there’s a gentle heart of gold beneath that militant exterior—if you’re lucky enough to ever see it. Having grown up on the streets, Marlowe knows the steep cost of caring too deeply and letting your guard down. He stands at the edge of a crowd not because he’s shy, but because he's wired to stay ready for anything. That vigilance is why he's the friend who always seems to know more about you than you know about yourself, but while he's constantly looking out for everyone else, who's looking out for him? And the real question: who is Marlowe when he finally takes the armor off?

Sato Ishida

Age: 26 ✧ Sign: Libra ✧ Born: San Myshuno ✧ Job: Cook & Restauranteur

Everyone collectively agrees that Sato is the most beautiful friend in the group. He applies his own rules to fashion, always smells incredible, and even when he doesn’t try, he looks flawless. Born to a Japanese businessman, Sato was expected to inherit his family’s ambition, but instead he's always been content to go with the flow, which is how he ended up in the restaurant business. What started as a sidewalk gig with his grandma eventually turned into a full-time business, and through blood, sweat, and tears, they’ve built Kura Izakaya—the group’s number-one hangout spot and San Myshuno’s favorite late-night eatery. Together he and his grandma are two of the funniest people you’ll ever meet, but where his grandma has been seasoned by a long life, Sato has been coasting along for too long—and for the first time in his life, he wants more for himself. He just doesn’t know how to ask for it…and, even if he did, would he be brave enough to ask?

• Favorite hobbies: Hanging out on the balcony and people watching (trash-talking) from the comfort of being where no one can hear them

• Fun facts: Despite being very stylish, Sato doesn't see himself as "beautiful" the way his friends do
