I used to love reading Little House on the Prairie as a kid, those were some solid books.

Cotton Candy Trivia: While the idea of cotton candy has probably been around for centuries, the cotton candy machine was actually invented by a dentist of all people, along with his candy-maker partner. They successfully patented the machine, and were selling "fairy floss" at the 1904 World's Fair. Cotton candy is still called "candyfloss" in the UK to this day.

The running gags in Dr Stone are great. Especially Senku describing some modern marvel to which the villagers are clueless and Gen is dumbstruck. It's the classic Straight Man routine, and it never gets old. Chrome inventing something amazing only to be told it already existed is also a classic, though you gotta feel for his heartbreak when that happens. One day he'll invent something even modern science hasn't made... One day...

I love how the pursuit of making gold wires also resulted in enriching the villagers' lives with the introduction of cotton candy. And now they have hydro-electric power that came from Chrome being inspired by an idea used to solve a cotton candy machine problem. It's things like this that really make this show a love letter to science, engineering, and the just plain creativity humans are capable of.

This is why Chrome is my fav character. He is a natural and curious researcher
