Welcome to 2024! Where we go...
It's a new calendar! And with Predators2 complete, refs and background work being laid for the scifi project, it's time I lay out some things for all you followers and supporters!
First, thank you for 2023. I had my first and only child this year and your support has helped us through it. It was very well planned and managed, thankfully, so it wasn't a surprise, but I -really- couldn't have done all I did without your pledge, so, mahalo nui loa for your kokua, understanding and care.
Second, this year i will absolutely be starting the canonical story that my scifi characters are involved in. It feels weird to finally say that, but things are settling into place. I'm still not 100% sure what is best in terms of platform, presentation, or style? But I think I'm close. It will be R-rated, for adults, but the 'primary content' won't be X-rated; there will be secondary work i do on the side that consist of one-offs or side comics showing the in-betweens.
Third, that leaves with an idea of what the schedule will look like. In a perfect world, I'd get a page/week done, and to do that I'd need a loose style I can settle on, as Pred2's style was just too time-consuming. But, since I do other things, like aforementioned adult work, merch stuff, and the like, I'll have to keep in mind that this bonus content comes after the primary story, so that amount may vary.
Fourth, Rewards and Tiers. What does that look like, in this kind of context? I'm even less sure of that, so I'll be looking at what some other artists might do, or if you have some suggestions, I'll be open to listening. It may require some re-structuring of the standard 1/5/10/25 amounts, and their benefits. It'd be great if I could stream more regularly and associate those benefits there, as well as...
Fifth, and last major point: Discord. I'm aware most people PROBABLY are in a minimum of 300 discord servers by now, so when I make this, it will be tailored towards my work and rewards, rather than being a full-course meal 'for everyone' server with loads of channels and stuff, but.. hey, we'll see what the community brings. Starting small, as a place to organize my art, gift art, lore, etc..
So that's all for right now! I was not told by anyone, but I am only now realizing...I never sent out the ZIP rewards for November, so I will post that along with December's content here as well, once I sleep and wake up. Then, it's likely time to do my best to finish editing Predators pages for print, which I've been putting off to do Holiday work.

Congratulations on your first born child! I hope they inherit as much of your artistic talent as possible, the world needs more artists like you. My late mother actually gave me and my Siblings a lot of her artistic talent.
I hope Kesis will appear in the sci fi comic. Her looking over her city is one of my favorite pieces.

I pledge yesterday and I’m looking forward to what you have in store for us on 2024. Can’t wait for your discord server. I’ll be interested more on comic merch, but if you want to expand more merch, you can sell like standees, keychains, blankets, possibly big prints, etc.
I’m glad to hear you say you’re talking about a Discord, since that’s the primary way I talk to people in general. I’ll be listening closely for whenever that happens. I’d love to be able to talk more directly with both you and other fans
I see this going as a “come for the porn, stay for the story.” If you can hook readers on good writing, they’ll stay long after. Look at Kyell Gold’s writing as an example. Different media of course, but your ip compounds on itself. I’d caution though that if your doing a page a month for a huge comic, pacing could be an issue where readers just lose interest. Honestly I’m here for the adult content. I’d probably stay a few months to see where it goes, but if I get totally lost I’d consider reducing or pausing my patreon sub. But you never know without trying right?

Excited to see what you have in store for 2024! Only just pledged myself recently, and I honestly should have a long time ago. Lol. Happy to support, and you are an inspiration for me to finally start developing my own worlds too! Hopefully I'll be doing some of my own story-telling this year as well.

If it helps, I actually consider your patreon strategy with voting tiers to be the gold standard. I tell other artists setting theirs up to look at how you did yours to compare! Obviously you should tune your tiers rewards and costs to levels you can maintain without burnout, but in broad strokes I think your system with voting is ideal. My only suggestion would be to bump up your first two tiers from 1/5 to 3/6, to account for inflation.

Happy new year! I'm honestly happy that the primary comic isn't going to be X-rated. I'm really looking forward to learning more about this world and these characters, and I'd be worried that feeling an obligation to have a sex scenes every however many pages would hamper the storytelling. Having the (finally canonical) sexy times in side content sounds like a great way to thread that needle to me. I'm really looking forward to this!

Regarding tiers, my suggestion would be to Unpublish the $1 tier, and create a new $2 or $3 tier to fill the same role. This will allow people to stay at the $1 membership rate if they stay pledged, but even Patreon recommends going above $1 for your lowest tier due to the payment processing fees eating up a disproportionate amount of those pledges. Some people recommend not having a pledge level below $5, and that would simplify your posting a little at your current rates, but at the very least I personally recommend bumping up your $1 tier (and again, this can be done so it only charges the updated price to new signups, not existing members).
I can't wait to read what you get to make! I just want to make sure, so I get it, does that mean you'll make the main comic rated R, but sex will still happen just in one-off comics that are tied to basically ellipses?

Hi Fluff. I say go full sketch on the comic, stop worrying about too much polish. Your sketch style is amazing anyway. Also, with your aim for 52 pages a year, I want you to actually hold yourself to 30 pages at most. Tyvm.
