June Update #1
Okay! Hello! It is I!
First off, apologies for the flighty-ness lately. Much of what I was busy with has been completed. The only major thing left to do is to move out and get an apartment but I have a lot of hopefuls and I'm not rushing myself anymore because it's far too stressful and the stress is going to kill me. So let's talk about good news!
1st: The IT video is nearly done, I have all the edited stuff from my editor sitting on my desktop right now. Next step is to write and shoot live action segments to accompany that and then just edit them altogether. I'll be working on that this week and you should be seeing the video real soon.
2nd: I was on a Deep Dive episode with FilmJoy/MoviesWithMikey (Mikey Neumann) yesterday! We had a great time and it's gonna be a really fun and exciting episode and I can't wait to share it with you all when completed! Everyone on the show was super kind and cool and fun and it was a joy to work on.
3rd: I just secured a VERY rare movie that like, no one has seen, for a video I'm going to make soon. This this is absolutely wild and it's going to serious warp your mind and I can't wait to do it to you all. Very exciting!
4th: Skellyfish (Cove) and I are going to start a movie discussion show, mostly because we already watch movies and talk about them so a show is just another excuse to do that and I could always use more videos for the site. I want to launch THIS MONTH but given all the other stuff going on it may be difficult but I will keep you posted. Yeah!
5th: I think I'm going to restructure Patreon a bit. So the $5 letters are absolutely impossible to get out every month, inevitably I get too many pledges and then have to spend more to get these made out and shipped than I get for pledges and then it's just like...why do I do this? I know you all want cool perks and stuff and I'm absolutely willing to hear from you all but I gotta figure all this out and restructure. Ultimately Patreon should be a place where I remove stress, I make enough to live and work freely. Unfortunately right now the setup has me putting out a hundred letters every couple moths and costing me tons of time and money and there's just gotta be a better way. So I guess I'm posing a question for you all. What perks would you like to see? How would you feel about less tiers? Why do you support me here and is it specifically for the perks? Thank you all, I truly value your insights and hope this doesn't seem dismissive or something.
Look forward to me posting here a lot more!

Just happy to support you in whatever way I can :) I enjoy your content and want to help you however I can, perks or no perks.
I'm not in it for perks, well, I love access to the discord, but with my sporadic activity and general INactivity, the main reason for pledging is to give what I can to improve your life, and by extension, your content. Perks are wonderful, don't get me wrong, and in the future, I definitely would like to up my pledge, but it's not because of the shit you give for it. 💜
Dropping the 5 dollar letter aspect and merging it with the $10 hangouts might be the best way to go about things- I'd consider bumping up with that, as the physical object component seemed as though it would inevitably be hard to maintain logistically. Could keep the others the same as far as I can see, though =)
i just started pledging for 5 dollars and im fine with not getting anything physical I just want to support you in some way :)
Im a $5 patron because I watch your videos and I have the ability to help. You're one of very few people that aren't problematic and I absolutely love your channel. I don't need the letters or any other perks. I'd rather you just focused on you and content that you want to put our for your channel. And streams, love the streams, it's like a chill hang out.
I am a five dollar patron because I watch your videos enough that I wanted to support you. I don't really pay attention to perks TBH. I'd rather you get your time back and save yourself some money then worry about a letter. Perks are nice but not really why I support people here.
I’m a patron because I love your work and $5 is what I can afford to contribute. Your videos are enough for me, with the additional bonus of being able to access Patreon posts.
I became a $5 patron basically because I loved how you talked about every topic you brought up. I have the letter from you on my desk and it's real neat to have. I enjoy seeing my name in the credits. I'd still be a $5 patron even if I never got a letter or a credit. I'm just happy you keep doing what you love.
I completely commend your 5$ perk, but as someone who burnt himself out doing nigh the exact same thing - here's my suggestion: 1$ = Access to a short thank you video. 1-3 minutes tops - but something that lets folks know your dollar helps keep them in new Nyx Fears videos, and helps you directly. 2$ (or boosted to 3$) = Early Access to your long form videos (when possible) 5$ = Name in the credits for short videos [maybe your new series?] (A great reward, and not too expensive to price out supporters) + Low Tier Video Topic Suggestion Discord Channel Access (a place for supporters to make suggestions on potential video topics, but without any priority or obligation on your end) 10$ = Access to a monthly Google Hangouts 15$ = Private/Personal Discord Access + Name in Credits of Long Form Videos 20$ = Critique of personal work 25$ = One-time personally penned letter (and maybe a lapel pin? Something symbolizing access to your high tier support squad) 30$ = Personally curated ($10 or less in value) piece of media [ordered through amazon or other & shipped without your time/effort wasted, and backed up by a mass email explaining your choice via private Mailchimp/other] 50$ = Personally curated ($15 - $20 in value) piece of media [same setup as previous perk with a separate mass email explaining that month's selection]
Whoops! One last quick fix: In addition to your new 25$ per month tier, you could also offer access to a even more private Discord Channel for suggestions with a bit more of an express track. With a realistic time frame of course, and maybe a pinned list of the upcoming production order - knowing that your personally selected topics and long form videos will always get top priority.
