September is Coming!
Hello friends,
So as every day passes we get closer and closer to Halloween -- which is my wheelhouse, lemme tell ya. And I have a lot of good news that I think you'll be happy to know all about!
So similarly to the last two months, I have another big video planned (in fact I have two but only one of them has a script that I can work with). This video that I'm making my priority is continuing the trend of making everything I do bigger and better, and this video clearly tops everything I've ever done before. This is video is sickeningly complex and huge. I'm gonna try my best to get to work as fast as I can but there's a lot holding me back at the moment.
But luckily, I'm going to make some time to get this video done in the next two weeks to a month. In the meantime, I still have to write the second big project and leave myself open to smaller, more concise ideas that may come up. The only reason I don't feel fully confident in saying that this new huge video will be out in two weeks is because it is likely to be around an hour and requires two or three full shoot days, cast and full crew. I am now getting everything together for that and everyone seems onboard. I'll start production on the video in the next couple days following a solid second draft of the script.
ALSO Analysis hats have made it to my house and they look amazing and I think you're all going to love them. They will be shipping out as soon as possible. I have returned to university to finish up some of the things I've been working on there, including an extensive production design class, and following up on some in depth film theory and a Baroque art history class. I find that when I'm in classes like this, my views on art continue to evolve and progress and I feel much more confident in my journey.
So wow, look at all that I just typed. Holy shit that's a lot of stuff for one month. I'm pretty confident in saying you'll see over an hour of content from me in September. I will be keeping you all updated of my progress just like the previous months. It's honestly a scary amount of work but I think I can handle it, but for my own sanity I'm not setting myself a due date until I get a better sense for how long it's going to take.
Also, it's an analysis of John Carpenter's Halloween. And the other is a bit on the first Texas Chain Saw Massacre in honor of losing Tobe Hooper, one of my favorite film directors and one of the biggest influences on me. We'll see how these turn out, but I'm going to try my best to really grasp the way those films mean so much to me, and culture.
Thank you for another great month.
