Hazelnut Latte v0.15 Alpha 1 Progress Report 2/17/26

Hey everyone, welcome to another Progress Report!

If you didn't see, we have a snazzy trailer highlighting many of the big changes coming to Hazelnut Latte, and a big post explaining everything!

This will just be your usual progress report.

Animations

We are nearly done with Special Moments! We have a few loops left, but they are very tricky. They're actually for the scene that has been the backdrop for these progress reports. We hope to have it done by the Alpha launch, but if not, we'll likely get it in after some playtesting.

Writing

The 3rd draft of the script is nearly done! I just have the lewd scenes to go over.

Coding

This has been the biggest improvement, thanks to Lotus working diligently. A lot of legacy code had to be discarded and rewritten. Lotus finished... so many things that I'll try to list, but it was like every day, a ton got done. Save/Load now works, but we're still in the process of bug testing. All the in-game menus and options work. Player name input and character creator work. Dialogue box finally works. I'm probably forgetting a bunch, but it was significant progress.

There is a new bar for an Audio Pass which will be us adding in the music, sound effects, and moans.

Wrap Up

Not much to say, mainly because we are just in the weeds right now. We want to get this thing in the best shape possible for next week. Not to mention this week I start moving! Wow... what a time to be alive...
