Dave Upgrade + Casting!

Hey, look, a Dave post!

That's right, Dave now has a voice actor: RoroBoros!

I actually contacted and cast him a while back, but we wanted to save his new voice lines for the revamp. Before we used some stock moans from Hazel's actor, SukeBancho, but I figured Dave deserved his own voice actor.

Roro is such a professional and did an incredible job of moaning as Dave. I'm excited for you all to hear it when we get to more Dave content.

Speaking of which, we actually revised Dave's sprite last May but have been sitting on it, since we knew we'd be jumping to Unity at some point. I also didn't want to get anyone's hopes up that a new sprite meant more Dave content. So we touched up Dave to bring him more in line with how we draw sprites now. He looked out of place compared to everyone else.

But I will say: Yes, Dave will get more content. I know people have been asking me for a long time now to give Dave more screen time and stuff to do. But I didn't want to force it in there, ya know? If I were going to add more Dave stuff, I wanted it to be because I had a good idea, not just because players were asking for it.

The new Episode 1 opens with a new section of Isaac in Newhaven before he ever meets Hazel. This gave Isaac some interesting stuff to do, including more time with Dave. While the new Episode 1 won't have any new Dave lewd scenes, I am laying down the groundwork for more Dave scenes.

However, Dave will remain a side character. As fun as he is, I don't see him joining the main cast, as it is big enough as is. I have seven incredible characters fighting for screen time. If I added an eighth, my head would explode like in Scanners. It would be too many plates to spin and balls to juggle. That being said, I hope you'll enjoy where Dave's character goes.
