Listen I know filler can get a bad wrap by majority of anime fans especially newer anime fans and the big 3 fillers don’t help the filler enjoyability argument but dragon ball and Z filler really isn’t that bad and it’s not as much as you think when it comes to pure filler episodes. -Dragon ball 21 out of 153 episodes is pure filler -DBZ 39 out of 291 episodes is pure filler (Note: these stats don’t include hybrid cannon/filler episodes because some of those are fights that were extended for the better) So for the original run of dragon ball and dbz you have 60 out 444 episodes that is pure filler thats like 13% of the whole series which is not bad at all especially compared to other long running animes, sure some filler episodes are not as enjoyable as others but I think for a first time watch, the filler should NOT be skipped because there are some gems in there

Im torn because im not a fan of alot of the og filler but Dbz has some of the best filler ive seen. To say skip filler may mean skipping certain characters driving test which they HAVE to see

It didn't progress because it's partly filler. Like all crap filler, it never progresses the story and ultimately means nothing. One of the things I hate most about filler is they can't really do anything meaningful so it feels like a waste of time and usually hella boring. Like Bleach filler. Some of the worse because they bring in filer characters to main story. I hope they skip the rest of the filler in DB. It's already excruciating with 1 episode drops. Add the filler in and we have 1-2 weeks here and there where there's no point in watching them. Plus we are 4+ months away from the next big event. Adding filler will just make it longer.

yeah people like to hate on filler and maybe im biased idk but for some reason even the filler in dragon ball and in Z is so good! also i feel like for dragon ball and Z double uploads would be better!

This episode was kind've a skip. But the legend Masaki Sato worked on this episode which is why it looked so good.

漫画の週刊連載とアニメが同時期に行われることの弊害ですね（笑）。アニメは漫画に追いつきそうになるとこういった休息回を入れたり、1動作にすごく時間をかけたりします。ドラゴンボールの漫画はとてもテンポがよかったので、アニメオリジナルの展開が非常に多かったのが印象的です。
