The Divergence Meter displays the world line value as a percentage. It appears in this format: X.XXXXXX%. To reach the 1% barrier, the world line must shift to the 1.XXXXXX% . The Alpha world line falls within the 0.XXXXXX% because it's the world line where Okabe created the tool so it serves as the baseline reference point. As describe by anime so far, to save the future from SERN dystopia, the world line need to reach 1% barrier which is beta world line (1.XXXXXX%)

So since Okabe sent that Dmail to himself to prevent him from stopping her from leaving the first time, that means she never got to find out who her Dad was in the new timeline? That's pretty sad...

I'd interpretate this like this. Right now the timeline is 0.xxx, the 0 itself is like a very major timeline, then there are timelines like 0.1xx, 0.2xx, 0.3xx which are different, but those are not significant changes, like the funny D-mails they all made. Oh actually for Ron, i got an analogy with LoL patches, when a new season comes in usually gets a BIG update, which usually changes the first number, in January 2027 it will be patch 27.1, then all the medium patches change the .1 into .2, and the even smaller patches make it from 27.1 to 27.11 for example. Of course that's not direct analogy how the divergence meter/timelines work.

Shout out Ron for the prediction about the initials. Good eye lol and great job Michelle with predicting Daru being Suzuha’s dad. Neither one of those had even crossed my mind especially the initials. With Death note and Parasyte, once you guys finish Steins Gate I want you to compare and see which you like better even though Michelle likes this more than Death note right now. I want to save my thoughts for the end and compare and which one I think is better. There’s also an anime you guys gotta watch after this that’s the perfect replacement and I’ll wait till we finish Steins Gate to say the name of the show, everyone’s been recommending it too, also has Death note vibes and it’s in my top 10

With the divergence meter he needs to change it enough that the first number hits 1. So as he changes things it needs to move up. So was like 0.3——- and moved to 0.4——- after his dmail reversing stopping her from leaving

Cried so much on this rewatch its so tragic ahh and the thought of okabe being the only one to remember the tragic emotions of her suicide in a world where no one else remembers that. Man the mental toll is crazy

Finally, 16. I ugly cried soooooo much on this episode. The emotional roller coaster that it took me on was crazy. From being happy for Susuha meeting her dad, to being sad that she left, to being even sadder that she died. I watched it for the first time, it was in dub, so when Okabe was reading the letter, it hit even harder. I love this episode, every time I watch it I cry like a baby 😭 good stuff yall!
