Always loved this one since i lived in Nerima in tokyo for a short while. Always rooting for Jason :P
My favorite genre of anime is sports because there's hardly ever any real villains and preferably no super powers (just exaggerated animation). Funny thing is that I don't even like sports irl except for martial arts ^^'
Yeah, we've known Jason for this one episode and we really feel for him in that short amount of time. He's kind, dedicated, and upbeat. Hard to root against a guy like that, but also hard to root against a guy like Ippo. You just want both of them to win, but we gotta have a winner
And here in the blue coooorner. Weighing at 128 + 10 lb 鈥淚IIIPO DAAADY THIIIIIRD LEG. 馃悩馃檴馃檲馃檳
Ahhh. I remember trying ducking those bars after watching this episode. Don鈥檛 do it. Those pull-up bars hurt like hell.

interesting prediction
I don鈥檛 remember this episode. Writer really had the characters talking about Black people like we鈥檙e viltrumites lmao.
you know it's an old anime when they start quoting pseudo science
S tier anime!!
one of my favorite parts about this anime is how there are so many great characters
Cant Wait for ep 14!
Takamura's one of my favorite characters. There's actually a few characters I like outside of Ippo
Damn Ron I鈥檓 counting on you to push hajime no ippo to the reaction space brother!! Too peak!
This Anime was always good at showing that every boxer is fighting for something at the end of the day.
Let鈥檚 gooo the rookie championship tournament finally begins 馃敟
I think they made Jason sound like that since he's American and his Japanese isn't great lol
