Remember, toshiros zanpakuto is the strongest ice type in history, just like yamas is the strongest fire type, meaning they are of similar power. But toshiro is young. Also toshiro is the only soul reaper to have his zanpakuto speak to him before ever attaining it, meaning he was destined to bond with it and that his zanpakuto already was formed as a soul without him.

Michelle - “the black”

Just a reminder coz it's only mentioned early in bleach, but Hyōrinmaru was said to be the strongest ice Zanpakuto!! (Rukia's is said to be the most beautiful ice Zanpakuto) 🥶🫡

FYI: Hitsugaya's Hyōrinmaru is actually the main character in one of the Bleach movies!!.. I really hope they will watch the movies too, a few of them actually expanded the Canon as well unlike most anime series movies! 😎🙏

Hyorinmaru is THE STRONGEST Ice Zanpakuto so he’s cold Yamamoto. If Hitsugaya ever makes it to adulthood and builds his body up, he potentially can be the strongest soul reaper on Yamamoto’s scale (though slightly lower due to being ice instead of fire.) and Shunsui did say Hitsugaya will surpass him in a century or 2. When dealing with Toshiro you have to remember that he’s the youngest in history in his position without ever reaching full strength.

Man fresh prince was sooo good! It broke when uncle Phil passed man.

Age when it comes to soul reapers are kind of inconsistent. They are just thousands of years old. Its different from human years like Ichigo being 17. Out of all the captains though Hitsugaya is the youngest and he's always been a prodigy so its cool we get to see some backstory from him here since really the only bit of backstory we got from him was in Soul Society arc. We seen him when he was younger in a flashback, it was him and Momo. They knew eachother as kids.

Lmao how did I know Ron was gonna say they gonna watch Family Matters next. After that you might as well add 'Martin' and 'Good Times' to the roster ✊🏾❤️ 14:27 Ron "You got Kenpachi, you got Itachi" lol. A dangerous duo 😂🔥

one of the best backstorys and a much needed one too. Toshiro hasnt reached his peak yet. Also Ron, what hair product are you using drop the routine lol

A little bit of important info on episodes 238 and 239: Toshiro's backstory in these 2 episodes is canon! That's why they hit differently than the others. It was written by Kubo as bonus content in a novel at a later date during the promotion of a movie, but the studio decided to add some of it into this filler arc. The core of his backstory was split into pieces and added across several arcs. If my memory serves me correctly, we got bits of it during the Soul Society arc, bits here and then bits elsewhere (most likely mixed with another filler). As for Toshiro being a prodigy and not at his full potential - in episode 277 (at the 9:50min mark, if you wanna check yourself) when Shunsui and Starrk fight, Starrk asks Shunsui to tell him who is stronger between him and Toshiro. Shunsui then says that in a 100y Toshiro will surpass him. Basically, time is the only gap between Toshiro and someone as strong as Shunsui.

Toshiro’s backstory comes from the leadup chapters and episodes to the second movie, Diamond Dust Rebellion. This backstory is canon because it was written by Kubo for the movie. I’m excited to see you guys reach the movies. 🤩

Ron is obsessed with Aizen or Kenpachi

My favorite line from Michelle is now "The blade is me, Bitch!"

Dang Ron is really tapped in with the culture

Yo the Fresh Prince is such a vital part of my child hood. Its a show till this day I will go back to Hulu to watch over and over.
